'Globalise the Infitada'. What does it mean? The literal translation is to 'shake off oppression world wide' Where did it come from? Iraq, 1952: Citizens of Baghdad engaged in a series of large-scale protests against the Iraqi government, widely referred to as "the Intifada." Britannica Kids Sudan, 1964: The October Revolution - strikes, riots and demonstrations that ended the Abbud military dictatorship. Called an intifada. Bahrain, 1965: The March Intifada - a leftist uprising against British colonial presence. Western Sahara, 1970: The Zemla Intifada against Spanish colonial rule. Then the First Sahrawi Intifada and Second Sahrawi Intifada against Moroccan occupation. Egypt, 1977: The bread riots were called the "bread intifada." Egypt, 1984: A bloody uprising and civil resistance movement. Palestine, 1987-1993: The First Intifada. This is when English-language media adopted the word. Bahrain, 1990s: A popular uprising demanding a return to democratic rule, known as the "1990s Intifada." Iraq, 1991: Armed uprising against Saddam Hussein after the Gulf War. Palestine, 2000-2005: The Second or Al-Aqsa Intifada. Lebanon, 2005: The Cedar Revolution after Hariri's assassination was called the "Intifada of Independence." Iraq, 2003: Muqtada al-Sadr, a militant Shia cleric, launched an uprising which he also referred to as the "Iraqi Intifada" aimed at ending the US-led foreign military presence in Iraq. France, 2005: The historian Andrew Hussey referred to the 2005 French riots as "the French Intifada." Arab Spring, The 2011 uprisings across Arab-majority countries were often dubbed events of "intifada" including in the early months of the uprisings in Libya and Syria. If we ban the term would that then include the translation.. 'Shake off oppression worldwide'

1. Antisemitism is real and revolting 2. To march against UK government support of genocide is to march *against* hate 3. There is nothing Jewish about Netanyahu's crimes 4. We stand against hate in all its forms. Including antisemitic cartoons of @ZackPolanski in The Times

This is an absolutely shocking interview. Trevor Phillips doesn't even try to hide his obvious burning political hostility. Zack Polanski did very well as his interviewer distorted what he said and treated him with contempt.

When Jewish people speak out against genocide, why are our voices dismissed? And smirking while I describe someone Nazi-saluting at me isn’t just disrespectful - it feels deeply antisemitic. youtu.be/7VkfYJgLljE?si…

THE GREEN PARTY EXPOSED
THE GREEN PARTY EXPOSED@ExposedGreens·
🚨EXPOSE: The Green Hypocrite of Furzedown Adam Kamenetzky, 45, is the Green Party candidate for Furzedown ward in Wandsworth’s May 2026 local elections. A south Londoner living in Furzedown with his family, he poses as a passionate environmentalist and “activist researcher.” Yet he daily drives a 2.1-litre Mercedes M-Class diesel SUV.... the very type his party vows to ban new sales of within three years and phase off UK roads entirely. Kamenetzky is also a lead claimant in the blockbuster “dieselgate” High Court case against Mercedes and other makers, demanding they be held accountable for emissions deception. He told The Guardian last October: “I want the alleged deception... brought into the open.” His Green membership was mysteriously omitted from that “lefty-green bible” profile. Preaching net-zero sacrifice for you while guzzling diesel himself. Classic Green Hypocrisy.

Yet more Green Party HYPOCRISY! I spotted a group of local canvassers yesterday and every single one of them was breathing out huge amounts of carbon dioxide. They claim to care about the environment, and at the same time they emit CO2 gas into the atmosphere. It’s a disgrace.

Thing you are missing is she didn't oppose refugees. She opposed Labour dumping 600 people into a community with zero consultation, no support services and no right to work, this is actually the Green position. Every local politician opposed the process, including the Tory MP. The Home Office director apologised at the public meeting for the chaos. Opposing bad policy isn't hypocrisy, its ensuring consistency. She filmed herself outside the camp demanding asylum seekers be given the right to work. So shes doing her job as a local councillor while holding their national position? Meanwhile Labour have Dan Morris arrested for child sex offences, Reforms Treasurer Nick Candy in the Epstein files, but yeah man drives car is horrific 😳

.@ZackPolanski doesn’t need lectures when it comes to antisemitism. He has to deal with it on a daily basis — & from those who claim to be fighting it and stamping it out. Those lecturing him & making demands of him have no interest in him. He should tell them to get stuffed.

Steve Reed is currently lecturing the nation about Green Party racism, so lets look at his record. In July 2020, Reed tweeted that Jewish businessman Richard Desmond was "the puppet-master for the entire Tory cabinet." A Jewish Conservative MP called it "an age old antisemitic trope" and demanded Starmer sack him. Reed deleted the tweet, apologised, kept his job. That same year he submitted dossiers on ten Labour members demanding suspension for antisemitism. Four of those named were Jewish! Investigative journalist Paul Holden's book The Fraud names Reed as "one of the more chilling figures" at the core of the campaign to weaponise antisemitism as a factional tool. He's accusing a Green candidate of posting a meme featuring a snake bearing the Star of David. He omitted the fact the snake was wrapped in the Israeli flag. He knows the difference between criticising Israel and antisemitism. He chose to conflate them. While he was at Defra he promised "the biggest boost in animal welfare in a generation." He left without banning foie gras, without ending the badger cull, and having actively removed protections for chickens. As Housing Secretary he pledged a leasehold reform bill before end of 2025. He missed it. London housing starts are down 84% since 2015. Steve Reed does not get to lecture anyone about racism. @ZackPolanski @owenjonesjourno @_BoldPolitics @Heccles94 @MarinaPurkiss @TheGreenParty

Hi @stevereed. Some antisemitism for you to call out. Chop chop. You have gone quiet. Anyone would think you were behind this grossly antisemitic attack. Arranged with the Times earlier this week was it? Simple yes or no will do.

The Times has published a rabidly antisemitic caricature of Jewish Green Party leader @ZackPolanski Same racist style as cartoons of Jews in the Nazi paper Der Sturmer Have the press regulator, Culture Secretary & Jewish organisations denounced this antisemitism?
Owen Jones@owenjonesjourno

An obvious antisemitic caricature of Zack Polanski in The Times. But there will be no media or political outrage, which tells you all you need to know.
