Targeting civilians would, in fact, be a war crime. This man is deranged, unstable, and unfit to lead. He thinks this is a game. Republicans need to find their backbone, rein him in, and end this reckless war before more innocent lives are lost and this escalates into something far worse.

France Has Moved All Its Gold Out of the United States The Banque de France has completed a full withdrawal of its gold reserves from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Between July 2025 and January 2026, 129 tonnes of French gold stored in New York were sold and replaced with equivalent bullion purchased in Europe. All of France’s 2,437 tonnes of gold now sit in Paris. Every last bar. The timing is hard to ignore. With Trump tearing up the postwar rulebook and transatlantic trust at historic lows, France has quietly made sure its financial bedrock is no longer stored on American soil. The operation generated a 13 billion euro windfall on the back of record-high gold prices, turning a 7.7 billion euro loss in 2024 into an 8.1 billion euro profit in 2025. Macron essentially got paid to exit. And France is not alone. Germany still holds 1,236 tonnes of gold at the Federal Reserve, roughly 37 percent of its total reserves. The pressure to bring it home is building fast. Michael Jäger, head of the Association of German Taxpayers, has been blunt: Trump is unpredictable, does everything to generate revenue, and Germany’s gold is no longer safe in the Fed’s vaults. This memoir of Advocate Muzi Sikhakhane gives a very deep background about him as a Husband, a Father, a last born brother to his sisters that he adores,a former Teacher, a Freedom fighter who escaped countless near death experiences when he was hunted by apartheid police as very young activist growing up in KZN, and him as an Advocate. I won't go into details and bore you,but if you want to understand what informs his perspective on life, the choices he has made to represent people regarded as controversial like former president Zuma, his ideas about the Land, the Constitution, the Law and the South African Legal System, our place as Africans in this constitutional democracy and how we need to break the shackles of racism and racial inferiority, it is worth getting yourself a copy. He knows that he is still very villainized in the various sections of our society, but he hopes to reach those who care to know him better. I was one of those who got curious to know more about the man, and yes, I can confirm that my perspective about him shifted since then. It is a very compelling book. Just remembered because of Advocate Mpilo Sikhakhane's coming on board at #MadlangaCommission Very proud of him.

Iran expresses its appreciation to China and Russia for their responsible conduct and today’s principled use of the veto in the UN Security Council. By blocking a flawed draft, they upheld the UN Charter and prevented the Security Council from being misused to legitimise U.S. aggression under the pretext of freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. They stood firmly on the right side of history.

The silence of Republicans as their president threatens to commit genocide is deafening. They're all complicit.

Worth remembering that the same president who accused the South African government of 'white genocide' has just threatened that 'a whole civilization will die tonight' if Iran fails to meet his ultimatum.
