@F1BigData He didnt have to the team said he should give it back, remember the stewards now don't tell the teams to give places back its down to teams to decide and the stewards will look at it if they have to

The fact that Lawson had to give up his position is yet another clear sign that the current driving standards are completely wrong

@F1 Sore losers you fuckers are. This is a fucking motorsport. They're professionals. They know how to race in wet conditions, if they don't. They can fuck off.

Following discussions between FIA, F1 and the Miami promoter, the decision has been taken to move the start of Sunday's Miami Grand Prix to 13:00 local time in Miami due to the weather forecast that is expected to bring heavier rainstorms later in the afternoon, close to the original planned race start time #F1 #MiamiGP

Anyone else struggling to get excited about this F1 season? Uninspiring teams dominating races, mostly through winning political battles on engine regulations off track. Huge gaps to the lead car in all races. Underwhelming regulations leading to battery-powered artificial racing. And alongside all of this, a CEO of F1 totally unreceptive to feedback. Sigh.

This statement from Rory McIlroy after blowing a historic 6-shot lead, comes across as wildly arrogant & has a mentality of “one Masters championship is enough for me” Tiger Woods would never answer a question like this.

The team was rocked by the Horner scandal in early 2024. There were two paths that the team could have taken at that point, #1 Fire Horner until investigations are over, if he's proven innocent bring him back #2 Back him till the news dies down Red Bull did have an internal investigation and then a further independent process, all of which cleared Horner of any wrongdoing (you're free to make whatever conclusion you want from this) At this point, the focus should have been -Bring peace and calm to the team -Stem the leak of resources -Understand where the team and the car is at that point and then rebuild from there What Red Bull had? -Jos Verstappen shouting in the media, calling for Horner's head -Marko consistently leaking stuff to the media -Unrealistic expectations from a package that had to be reoriented after a wrong design direction The result? -The leak continued -The man that was pivotal to Red Bull's success was chucked out -The board backed the driver and his pops even though calmer heads should have prevailed So.... where are we with Red Bull now? -The technical head is under pressure -The Red Bull program is leaking key personnel -GP just left -Max will probably leave as well -When Horner inevitably comes back to F1, that'll attract a few key personnel The board took a short term call...and it is paying for it now That has always been the problem with a board taking calls in F1 Oliver Mintzlaff is not a racer, he doesn't get F1 John Elkann is not a racer, he doesn't get it, The same is true with the Renault board It will be interesting to see where the Red Bull Racing and the Racing Bulls program goes eventually but.... I guess some things don't change, Teams run by boards become a version of Ferrari, Too much bluster, not much success.

@SundarUvaacha @Scuderiascoop The longer these regs go on the better the others will get at starts and Ferraria advantage will be that small that it will just be better overall to have the bigger turbo

@Scuderiascoop Why? Instead of making the engine more powerful and improving recovery, they are changing the one thing that’s working well. The smaller turbo is what’s giving them the better starts. This is stupidity.

🚨 | JUST IN: Ferrari is reportedly considering upsizing its turbo for the 2027 engine regulations. The current SF‑26 runs a smaller unit that sharpens throttle response, yet rivals insist that alone doesn’t explain the car’s edge. Mercedes, meanwhile, can afford a larger turbo thanks to superior efficiency from its energy recovery system. 📰 [@Auto_Racer_it]

@BenDesigned that would break the rules, the rear active aero element must go from fully open to fully shut, or fully shut to fully open within 0.4 seconds

With the rotating Ferrari rear wing, could they not also use it like an air brake? So just rotate it through 90 degrees on breaking for extra stopping power? Would mean they could break a bit later gaining even more time on the straights.

@NotFifthGear China is a massive market, a Chinese Brand make sense now we have just added an American OEM, 3 races in American i wouldn't be surprised if F1 now aims for a 2nd race in Beijing maybe a street race

@TommoMcCluskey It looks crap you could tell when a car was gaining little bit through corners but not anymore and it just looks odd, most id not all other championships use 3 decimals it feels like a backwards step for F1

Legibility trade off is 100% worth it. Going to the thousandth is not valuable insight during a race. Quali, absolutely - that's a different story altogether. Race engineers round gap information for their drivers to the nearest tenth, not thousandth. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for us. People just don't like change. 🤷‍♂️
