I remember listening to a few podcasts talking quite disparagingly about Leicester signing Orlando Bailey and Billy Searle. Searle has rightfully had a lot of plaudits, but Bailey @ 12 has been excellent as well. One of, if not the best 10/12 combo this season! #LEIvsBRI

I feel like Billy Searle could play international rugby for most other tier 1 countries... Other than England. It would be completely pointless having him play for us, which is genuinely such a shame. I could see him *really* suiting Ireland. #LEIvsBRI

@AshesRugbyGuy @EngRugbyDebate Purely on Marcus having a very similar playing style to Matt Giteau (one of my favourite ever 12s) and I'd love to see if it could work. Ojomoh and Atkinson are my "real world/realistic" picks at 12 for England.

@AshesRugbyGuy @EngRugbyDebate All the while I do agree that having a big ball carrying 12 with good hands is the ideal.. I am also a massive fan of Seb Atkinson as well, might I add... Unfortunately, this does not feed into my borderline obsessive need to see if MS can be England's Matt Giteau 12. I'm sorry.

@WarrenLowe1 @EngRugbyDebate Rugby goes in cycles, right now big 12s who distribute are key to tieing in defences and getting wide. Tuipulotu, McCloskey etc. That man is Atkinson. Otherwise might as well revert to Faz, a 10 who plays regularly at 12

@Rawdogg15 @EngRugbyDebate I think he's actually really sound defensively and punches well above his weight. I don't think he is a 15 at all... But I will never be convinced he couldn't be a properly class 2nd play making 12 with more space in wider channels...

@EngRugbyDebate @WarrenLowe1 With respect, this is a bit disrespectful to a player who not only is better defensively than given credit for, but also has worked so hard on that area. What I will get on board with though, is that the last thing Marcus needs is ANOTHER position! Just play him at 10!

@EngRugbyDebate MS at 12 is my real "hear me out" take in rugby. He's one of the most talented players we have, but I wouldn't say he's the best 10 or 15 we have. His defence is actually really sound and I just truly believe his "difference making attributes" could really lend themselves @ 12.

How have we gone from beating New Zealand to this? This is such an insane drop in performance. We look clueless and completely impotent in attack. We rely far too heavily on Ben Earl, then we kick. That's the entire game plan. We are weak as piss at the rucks as well. #ITAvsENG
