Upcoming Pub/History Walking Tour pubandhistorywalkingtours.com Westminster 🚶♂️🚶🚶♀️ 🗓 30th May (SATURDAY) 👥 Westminster Station 🕦 11 AM @PubHistoryTours This is completely different from my last Westminster tour which focused on the Strand. On this tour, we will explore some of picturesque, and of course, historic parts of Westminster around Parliament Square, Whitehall, and St James's Park. Westminster Underground Station is served by three London Underground lines: the Jubilee, District, and Circle lines. (Located in Zone 1) We shall of course discuss a few more famous spots, but just as importantly, we will venture into a few of the stunning parts that people rarely explore. Each tour will last roughly between 3-1/2 to 4 hours (or more) and will include several pubs that we will both visit and pass. We will be visiting some of #London's most famous and impressive locations, and of course, pubs, whilst venturing into various historical epochs. My daughters have bought me an Ancestry DNA kit so I can find out where my ancestors came from. If it says my relatives are from Somalia I’m going to have to rethink my posts. Also, it tells me what my traits are. I can only assume it’ll say kindness and things like that.

And after enjoying winding up the Prime Minister on here, I like to sit back in my armchair and wind up my antique clocks and on this occasion, my pocket watch. Many pocket watches are not very good and poorly made, but this one is actually a fine looking one that I bought at a watch auction several years ago for a very fair price. 18ct gold plated, with blue steel hands and a second hand. I’ve just been sat with it against my ear, listening to the beautiful sound of its beating heart. So much more enjoyable than listening to the Prime Minister.

@ClarksonsFarm1 I drive a Morris Minor, not only is it a manual, there is no synchro mesh on first gear so you have to double declutch. Who else remembers doing that!

Just given my Citroen 2cv a clean. It’s been a while since I went to a petrol station and used the jet wash. I felt properly Albanian for ten minutes waving the lance around jetting the bird shit off the bonnet. Just look at that beautiful beast now.

@The_East_End I remember going to Columbia market years ago and wondering why the area was done up like a scene from WW2, this was obviously the reason. The Royal Oak does a good pint as well.
