President Trump is right to push for an AI strategy that keeps America ahead of China while putting real guardrails in place against serious risks. As President Trump meets with Xi, AI talks with China should focus on common sense steps that make America safer, even if we have to take those steps on our own. My letter to the admin laying this out ⬇️

@DinaPowellMcC has the kind of global, geopolitical resume that doesn’t come up often in the tech industry…The rooms where she is showing up today are the same rooms she’s always been operating in; now she’s simply wearing a Meta hat.” bloomberg.com/news/newslette…

Meta president @DinaPowellMcC, on the 200 million small businesses on their platforms, those adopting AI are growing revenue, gaining market share, and creating jobs.  “But that’s only 20% of American small business owners, and we are hoping to change that.” At Washington AI Network’s 3rd annual TGAIFriday. 🎥Full conversation: youtube.com/watch?v=jbP2hY…

At the Washington AI Network’s 3rd annual TGAIFriday, @Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth sat down with Tammy Haddad and described AI as the most “discontinuous change in technology” he has seen in his career. Bosworth argued the shift goes far beyond engineers. For the first time, people without computer science degrees can build and execute tools that once required highly specialized talent. “The empowerment that it offers to every individual … we are tapping into the power part.” Watch the full conversation: youtube.com/watch?v=jbP2hY…

“AI adoption is going to be critical… I think we’re getting to a point now where we have to be more clear about AI” — what it’s going to bring, and what it’s not. And no country enters the AI era alone. With partners arriving from Europe, Asia, and around the world, Bajraktari emphasized that competing — especially with China — means leaning into our alliances. #AIExpoDC

Arun Gupta, CEO of the @noblereachfdn, joins @haddadmedia on the Washington AI Network Podcast to discuss his new book “The Mission Generation” (out tomorrow). He rethinks careers in an era shaped by AI, geopolitics, and constant disruption — and why purpose, not stability, will define what comes next. From building “dual citizens” across public and private sectors to redefining how leaders approach talent, this conversation challenges assumptions about the future of work. A moment that cut through the room at the Washington AI Network’s 3rd annual TGAIFriday: Don Overton, a Gulf War veteran who lost his sight 30 years ago, showed how @Meta’s AI glasses are restoring his independence — from navigating daily life to recognizing faces and reading the world around him. For policymakers and CEOs in the room, it was a clear reminder: the most important applications of this technology won’t be abstract. They will be human. nypost.com/2026/04/29/bus…

Under Secretary of War Emil Michael
Today marks a major step forward in accelerating AI capabilities directly to the Joint Force. We have finalized agreements with eight of America’s top AI model and infrastructure companies to deploy frontier AI capabilities on the War Department’s classified networks.   Our brave warriors deserve an unequivocal and unfair decision advantage on the battlefield, and the Department’s agreements with SpaceX, OpenAI, Google, NVIDIA, Reflection, Microsoft, AWS, and Oracle help deliver exactly that.   We will continue to operate on a wartime footing to accelerate and scale these frontier AI capabilities, because our warfighters deserve nothing less.
