The Incredible Stupidity of the Republican Party It is pretty clear that she has no clue what 'excess reserves' at the Federal Reserve are. Why on earth should the Fed buy Bitcoin? If the Fed were to buy Bitcoin, it would have to issue dollars to do so (creating reserves) and thereby create inflation. It would be great for owners of Bitcoin; American consumers, however, would pay the price.
