@MichaelMcGough3 Sure. I do wonder if Boxie won’t still be considered too young when McElroy hits retirement age (he’ll still be under 50), while Menjivar-Ayala will be in his late 50s and of course has been a Washington auxiliary until now.

2 blue states have responded with voter-approved temporary redraws. Democrats have also introduced a bill to ban gerrymandering nationwide.
Both sides are not the same.

Unpopular opinion but the right to vote shouldn’t be automatic. It should require passing a basic test on economics, finance, history, and how laws and public policy actually work… Pass it, you vote. Fail it, you don’t.

1000 miles a month at 25MPG = 40 gallons x $0.58 = $23.20 a month for six month or 77 cents per day. Less than $140 in six months. It doesn't help anyone at all!! But it would cost the Commonwealth over $500M!!

Hearsay is an out of court statement, taken for its truth.
E. Jean Carroll testified. That was not hearsay.
Carroll's friends testified that she told them earlier. That was not for its truth, but to show the story was not recently fabricated. Under FRE 801, not hearsay.

The E. Jean Carroll case was built almost entirely on hearsay - Carroll’s word + what her friends claimed she told them decades earlier. Clinton-appointed Judge Kaplan even let the 2005 Access Hollywood tape (unrelated to Carroll) be played for the jury! No physical evidence of rape existed. No way to corroborate or refute witness testimony. This testimony would not even have been allowed in a criminal trial! The jury explicitly found: No rape occurred! Only after the verdict did Kaplan declare it was “rape” under some “common definition.” What a clown show. #lawfare Only in New York.

@FullLaneFemme That’s all well and good as an ideal, but it ignores that it would take changing the whole culture of the US, which will be extremely difficult & won’t happen overnight. Cars didn’t become dominant overnight, and they won’t leave overnight either. EVs are a great stepping stone.
