@MichaelMcGough3 Sure. I do wonder if Boxie won’t still be considered too young when McElroy hits retirement age (he’ll still be under 50), while Menjivar-Ayala will be in his late 50s and of course has been a Washington auxiliary until now.

@jmp_nyc @dilanesper Overly cautious. Traffic was nowhere near as bad as anticipated. Lesson learned, and schools could have stayed open.

@DaveMcCormickPA Hey Dave - how come we’re paying $4.69 a gallon now in Pittsburgh (and rising twice a week)? Can’t blame Biden anymore. And don’t blame fuel taxes either. Those haven’t changed.

We're set to hit $4/gallon gas prices yet AGAIN. The Biden-Casey agenda is crushing Pennsylvania families at the pump. Our commonwealth deserves leadership that will lower energy costs. mychesco.com/a/news/fueling…

@TheWarMonitor So now the president can’t be civilly liable either. Tell me why we don’t just anoint him king already? He’s already an unaccountable sovereign.

10 red states have or are in the process of imposing brutal gerrymanders without a single vote. 2 blue states have responded with voter-approved temporary redraws. Democrats have also introduced a bill to ban gerrymandering nationwide. Both sides are not the same.

@AmanitaFugax You should have basic knowledge of what you're vote is enabling. Not just a "D" by the candidate you're told to vote for.

@KeystoneVictory Seems reasonable to me. Why should the Commonwealth give up a huge chunk of revenue to shield rural voters (who use more gas) from the effects of an unpopular war started by their Orange Deity?

Stop treating the public like we're fools! 1000 miles a month at 25MPG = 40 gallons x $0.58 = $23.20 a month for six month or 77 cents per day. Less than $140 in six months. It doesn't help anyone at all!! But it would cost the Commonwealth over $500M!!
PA House Republicans 🇺🇸@PAHouseGOP

PA's current gas tax places strain on residents who are already dealing with inflated grocery and energy prices. PA House Republicans have introduced legislation that would provide IMMEDIATE relief through a 6-month gas tax holiday, saving PA motorists hundreds of dollars.

@FullLaneFemme That’s all well and good as an ideal, but it ignores that it would take changing the whole culture of the US, which will be extremely difficult & won’t happen overnight. Cars didn’t become dominant overnight, and they won’t leave overnight either. EVs are a great stepping stone.

Some countries are rationing oil, implementing alternate day travel, incentivizing public transit, pushing remote work, and the United States is just going with the let 'er rip method as usual because it's perfect for insider trading.

@datesandfigs @somethings_awry I’m aware. I’m pointing out that the balance has changed and that it seems to now be the oil industry, more so than the auto industry, that’s doing everything they can to prevent electrification.
