@Furymaker_ @NealGardner_ That’s a fair argument. I, too, believe they both would excel. Just feel like overall, Julian is better on and off the ball, he’s going to press all 90 minutes and is going to help the high back line. He’s more versatile and a better striker.

Thing is, Pedro does these things as well on a very high level but also provides a level of hold up and box presence Alvarez does not. Pedro provides the balance Alvarez does not, but either way I think both would do an excellent job of leading the line for Barca, but as I said, Joao gives you something you want from your striker while Julian gives you set piece threat as well as arguably more variety in his out of the box play.

But that mock draft obsession fits so well in an age where a loud minority (and the media that leads them) with a voice on social media thrives on subjectivity. The only way to objectively cover a draft is to analyze a team's strategy. Immediate grades instantly move the discussion from the arena of facts to the world of feelings. So do does "consensus" obsession — because consensus is built on subjective evaluations in the first place!
