Farmers should do this all over the world.
No Farmers, No Food@NoFarmsNoFoods
Farmers and local farm shops are using social media to sell their food. Supermarkets pay them pittance for their food and a vindictive government punishes them. So they are taking the matter into their own hands and trying to sell direct via social media. Support our farmers.

@JeromeFosterII @Janefonda @SophiaKianni We are facing an existential crisis because of the lies of fossil fuel companies and the banks that are financing them.

Banks are financing fossil fuels, fueling the climate crisis. @JaneFonda and activists are pushing for divestment and conscious banking. Your money talks; make it count for the planet. @SophiaKianni #ClimateAction #Divestment #ConsciousBanking

Paris is working to become a '15-minute city' where everything you need is located locally within 15 mins. Every street will have a bike lane, 60,000 parking spots are being removed & replaced with parks. They aren't done yet.
We have the solutions implement them.

California’s Project Nexus is testing solar canopies built directly over irrigation canals, turning existing water infrastructure into power producing space without using additional land. The panels shade the canal, which can reduce evaporation and also keep the solar equipment cooler, while the electricity feeds into the local grid through the irrigation district. Researchers at UC Merced estimate that if this approach were expanded across the state’s canal network, it could save about 63 billion gallons of water each year, enough for the residential needs of more than 2 million people, while adding major renewable energy capacity. If your city could upgrade one piece of infrastructure to solve two problems at once, what would you pick?

Minnesota is paying residents to replace their lawns with native wildflowers, clover, and pollinator habitat.
The program has been running since 2019 and, with nearly 10,000 projects completed, 11 million square feet of pollinator habitat has been created across all 87 counties.
Households can get up to $400 back, and it's available to renters too, not just homeowners.
This is what it looks like when a state decides pollinators are worth protecting.
Why doesn't your state do this?

The city of Andernach, Germany planted 101 varieties of tomatoes in the town center and told everyone to take whatever they wanted.
It was such a hit they did beans the next year, then added onions, fruit trees, lettuce, zucchini, berries, and herbs. All free to the public and maintained by the city.
Andernach is now known as the "edible city."
Philadelphia has been doing a version of this since 2007. The Philadelphia Orchard Project has helped establish 67 sites across the city with thousands of food-bearing trees.
Baltimore is planting fruit trees on sidewalks. Seattle, Boston, San Francisco, and Asheville all have public urban orchards.
A mature apple tree produces 400-500 pounds of fruit per year. A mature pear tree can produce for 75 years.
We've decided our cities should have trees. We just haven't decided those trees should feed people.
Would you support urban fruit trees and vegetables in your city?

Here’s what happened at The Ocean Cleanup in March…
🔹We reached a big milestone — over 50 million kilos of trash removed from oceans and rivers worldwide (over 110 million pounds)
🔹 In Guatemala, Interceptor 006 captured its first trash flush of the year
🔹 The Audacious Project is supporting our 30 Cities Program with a $121 million donation
🔹 This year, we plan to expand our operations to the Philippines, Colombia, India, Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Panama.
🔹 Meanwhile, our work to clean up the Great Pacific Garbage Patch continues.
We’re improving how we predict plastic hotspots, reducing cleanup time and cost.
This summer, we plan to return to the GPGP to test our ocean models and drones.
Continue to follow our updates in April!

Near Geneva, the world’s most powerful particle accelerator is now heating homes. 🌍
At @CERN, heat from cooling the Large Hadron Collider is recovered instead of released into the air. Since January 2026, this energy feeds a district heating network, already warming homes in Ferney-Voltaire 🇫🇷.
More projects are planned in Switzerland 🇨🇭.
