Read This Before You Build Anything on Arweave / AO If you want to waste years and money, go ahead and build on @ArweaveEco / @aoTheComputer . If you want to build a successful company — look at the facts first. Because of Sam and the way the ecosystem is run, no company has managed to thrive inside Arweave/AO. Every one that mattered either escaped or is dying. Let’s look at the evidence: @irys_xyz Irys (ex-Bundlr) — Raised $18M Arweave threatened to sue them → they left. Now they’re gaining traction, launching soon, and built tech 4× cheaper than Arweave. Community strong. Winning outside Arweave. @redstone_defi RedStone Oracles — Raised $22.5M Top VC backing (@blockchaincap ). Left Arweave, launched on Ethereum. Doesn’t even mention Arweave anymore. Now one of the top oracle projects in Web3. @CommunityLabs Community Labs — Raised $30M Big investors (@lightspeedvp ). Built a weak wallet, nothing else. Quietly running out of cash, no future. Another Arweave “success story” going nowhere. @ar_io_network ARIO Network / PDS — Raised $17.2M Co-led by @blockchaincap and @RyzeLabs . Token about to get delisted, market cap lower than money raised. Still paying to keep Sam’s infrastructure alive. Losing money just to survive. Four companies. Four outcomes. The ones who left Arweave are now growing and winning. The ones who stayed are shrinking and fading. Conclusion: This isn’t FUD. It’s math. If you’re thinking of building on Arweave/AO — ask yourself one question: Do you want to win, or do you want to sink with the ecosystem? Choose survival. Build elsewhere.

DEBUNKING $AO AND $AR MYTHS A list of @samecwilliams inaccuracies and lies with proofs: 1. Not every blockchain makes all nodes redo the same work—Ethereum rollups execute off‑chain. 2. AO isn’t first to split storage and compute—Celestia already decouples execution from consensus/DA. Source: Celestia docs 3. “First decentralized computer to grow without limits” isn’t new—Internet Computer $ICP is horizontal, “infinite” scaling via subnets. 3. “Pay once, store forever” is not a guarantee— Arweave paper says it’s only an intended economic design, not a legal/technical guarantee. 4. Hash/Merkle paths prove inclusion/integrity of data, not correctness of the computation. 5. TEEs are not “blockchain‑level trust”—critical SGX attacks (Foreshadow) broke enclave guarantees. 6. Massive parallelism isn’t novel—Solana’s Sealevel has run thousands of contracts in parallel since 2019. 7. “Patching” (fast, signed state reads via URL) isn’t new—Ethereum’s EIP‑1186 (eth_getProof) has provided authenticated state proofs since 2018. 8. “Browser address bar as trustless command line” is just standard HTTP Message Signatures. 9. “Scales as fast as the web” isn’t reflected today—AO’s own site still labels it “Mainnet Early.” Meanwhile, Ethereum L1 alone processes ~1.5M transactions/day. Source: YCharts “Ethereum Transactions Per Day”. 10. “Modular, swappable components” aren’t unique—Cosmos SDK has long been a modular framework. 11. “Full cryptographic verifiability” at scale requires validity/fraud proofs (e.g., ZK‑rollups), not just hashes. 12. AO’s “holographic state” is essentially a message log on Arweave—not a proof of correct execution. Details: It’s false that “every network before” scaled by making all nodes redo the same work—Ethereum pushes execution off‑chain to rollups with cryptographic proofs, Solana parallelizes execution with Sealevel, and modular stacks like Celestia already decouple execution from data availability (so AO is not flipping some unprecedented switch). Calling AO the “first decentralized computer designed to grow without limits” ignores prior systems that long predate AO and already market (and implement) essentially the same idea—e.g., the Internet Computer’s subnet architecture and cross‑subnet message routing, and the Cosmos ecosystem’s IBC‑based multi‑chain model. The “pay once, store forever” story relies on an endowment premised on long‑term declines in storage cost (Kryder’s Law); but multiple independent analyses show Kryder’s Law has slowed materially and is uncertain going forward, so “forever” is an economic assumption, not a guarantee. The “hash path”/“holographic state” spiel confuses commitment with correctness: Merkle paths (and related HTTP‑signed responses AO uses) prove inclusion and integrity of data at a path—not that any computation over that data was executed correctly; AO’s own core spec frames “hashpaths” as Merklized commitments, and then punts to Compute Units/TEEs for attestations, which re‑introduce trust in specific hardware that has a long, well‑documented vulnerability history (hardly “blockchain‑level trust”). (IETF Datatracker) Even the “web address bar becomes a command line” is just HTTP Message Signatures (RFC 9421) dressed up—useful plumbing, but not a new trust model. (RFC Editor) And the claim that AO “scales as fast as the web” is unsubstantiated by current usage: thereum L1 regularly clears ~1.4–1.6 M tx/day and its L2s have already hit 12.4 M tx/day on peak—orders of magnitude of real, verified activity that AO has not publicly matched.

What on earth is @aoTheComputer doing? 😂 A simple balance transfer takes 30 minutes to update, apps are crawling like snails, yet Sam keep posting “completed” and “success” like everything is perfect. No app actually runs properly, issues everywhere, and they still dare to call this “finished”? That’s just self-delusion. The team only good at celebrating themselves while giving zero answers? Truly ridiculous.

We already told you the future. Now it arrives exactly as spoken. A new data project @irys_xyz , forced out of @ArweaveEco after being sued, turns around and builds its own data L1—stronger, faster, cleaner. All the customers follow them. Their FDV jumps past $AR and $AO on day one. This is not luck. This is cause and effect. This is chess—and mate.

It is already the final countdown for the Arweave ecosystem. Everything almost finished. Many founders already left, and now only that small podcast is still there, where Sam is making himself look like a 🤡. All the projects disappeared, because the founders were attacked and sued. They cannot tell you, because they were censored. All the liquidity also gone, because there are better opportunities outside. A new system will come out and replace it.
