AI-focused venture firm Activate has invested in voice artificial intelligence startup ElevenLabs as part of the company's recently closed Series D funding round that valued it at $11 billion.
The investment amount was not disclosed. Activate said the deal was executed through a separate strategic vehicle focused on backing later-stage global AI companies with a strong India angle, and not through its core early-stage fund.

Just leaving Figure’s critical design review for F.04 - the robot is now in full design lock and we're starting to ship parts
F.04 is by far the biggest leap we’ve ever made between robot generations. The level of engineering advances in this system is on a completely different level
At Figure, engineering reviews are extremely rigorous. We start with high-level architecture reviews and work all the way down to detailed reviews on every millimeter, watt, and gram of the robot. We've engineered something really mind blowing and I can't wait to show the world what this team is capable of

In November 2023, after Sam Altman had been fired, it was reported that OpenAI met secretly with Anthropic and asked Dario to merge Anthropic with OpenAI and then take over as CEO of the new company. And that Anthropic turned them down. I posted about this at the time. But it was never corroborated, and so many angry people said it was obviously false and fake that I eventually deleted the post. Today we got testimony from Ilya Sutskever under oath that this actually did happen.
