I am participating in “Career Day” at my kids elementary school and looking for engaging ideas for 5-11 year olds interested in agriculture/farming. @sean_nettleton and I brainstormed some interesting ideas on the phone earlier and decided to take to #AgX for more.

5️⃣ It's hard to believe but Rocky has now been here for five days and I think today is the most incredible he has ever looked
💤 I had a lot of messages and suggestions that maybe it would be better to put Rocky asleep when I first found him on Saturday
🐕 I think you can see from his whole body language, his wagging tail, and how hungry he is that this is a dog that very much wants to live
🍣 Every day we have a little routine where I change his bandana and bring him some smoked salmon and poached chicken. It's a little boy's picnic and it's the most magical time, sitting in the sun, you could ever imagine.
👀 We're slowly getting towards a stage where we might be able to do more for him with his eyes but there's no rush on that because he has so many ailments. What I am noticing is that he's fantastic at navigating around using my voice, the smell of food, and by learning the different types of grass and trees in his small area
There's a lot of bad news in the world and doom and gloom. Rocky might just be one little individual street dog in Thailand but I really think he's helping put a smile not just on my face but on people around the world. A truly special little creature is Mr. Rocky ❤️

My dog is gonna go to doggy heaven today! She’s a 15 year old Golden Retriever! We think she had a stroke a couple days ago. Just wanted to let you all know Maggie was the goodest girl that ever was. So gentle, so sweet and affectionate, she loved swimming and treats, she loved the beach and looking at my chickens. She sometimes caught bunny babies and held them in her mouth then let them go unharmed. She was the goodest girl And when I get to heaven I hope she runs to me!

A hard rescue today as I got a message from a kind local lady who needed help with an old blind dog. The poor boy was most likely dumped in the area because the “end was close for him”. He was confused on the beach and stuck. He wouldn’t have lasted much longer were it not for their bravery.
His vet results were about as bad as it gets. His eyes might be glaucoma as he can’t see a thing and his kidneys and liver are bad as well as severe anemia. His anemia is so bad we can’t even put him on a drip.
While I was driving him around I just had to keep talking to him as his head would keep dropping. His body is so weak. He is also very hard to handle as he lashes out with bites as he can’t see what is going on around him. He is terrified.
The ladies called him Rocky as they are hoping he will make a comeback. It won’t be easy at all but he did start eating, drinking and resting well this evening. We will all have to keep everything crossed for this lovely boy. Whatever happens he isn’t on his own and he has the best medical care now.
Rocky even let me pet his head tonight. I think he understands he is safe.

I went to this meeting and couldn't get this bald guy to shut up. He had an opinion about everything.
