Hearing marijuana #SAFERbanking is almost certain to pass out of the Senate Banking committee next week as-is... and that's where the roadmap ends. If Congress can't pass a spending bill and keep the govt open, finito. Senate whip count said to be good but no floor time certain.

Today was probably the most constructive day for $MSOS since the HHS news. Raises by $CCHWF and $CGC along with a short attack on $TLRY (justified tho) and all they did was knock it down 20 cents on low volume. In the past this would have been a bloodbath. Seems important.

New wrinkle in this latest $MSOS run, as private placements have started coming through the funnel. May be a good time to assess dilutive risk if you are entering new positions and sensitive about price point. Select Tier-1s, most notably $GTBIF, does not possess this risk NT.

@acole6154 @donmurphy12a @tomangell What mechanism in the bill addresses payment processors? Everything I've been told by bankers is that it doesn't do enough for visa and won't result in credit/debit cards in stores. Might be with rescheduling and safe it happens but that's still unclear.

Given the vast size of the federal employment and security contracting apparatus, this cannabis bill right here would arguably have a much bigger impact on more people than SAFE Banking, which is also getting a vote soon, would.

@TheDalesReport @tomangell The difference is that 8-9 GOP for SAFE make it more likely to pass, 14 GOP do nothing on challenging rescheduling.

@tomangell We've always been in the camp that the more the merrier when it comes to co-sponsors of SAFE and agree that the total numbers could be better.

This isn't a "yikes". There could of been many many more signatures coming on board this. Just look at the names its the usual suspects you would think would be against #cannabis.

Imagine being a right-wing investor type and getting mad at my news organization for covering the newsworthy fact that Republican lawmakers are trying to stop marijuana rescheduling instead of getting mad at those lawmakers from the party you vote for over the aforementioned.
