I check the number of dog poo bags left on the roll before a walk in the same way I'm sure a soldier checks his gun clips for bullets before setting out on a dangerous mission. You never know what you are going to encounter and preparation is key.

You end up with a gibbering non-entity in Downing Street when: The power is removed from the Prime Minister and Parliament and placed in the hands of unelected bureaucrats and judges. The media pretend that the Prime Minister is all powerful and report on politics like it's a King's court. Anyone trying to take on this narrative is marginalised, suppressed or destroyed. Keir Starmer is the consequence not the cause of years of hollowing out of the British system. And the British media is a big part of the problem.
