Average IQ in Brazil is 81 for brown people & 71 for blacks & is 95 for Whites & 99 for East Asians. All races living in the same environment with different IQ levels. IQ is NOT environmental, it is genetic. Yes there are exceptions but the majority fit within these general norms. Environment only changes IQ by about 5-10 points in exceptional circumstances. Some people say that LLMs cannot become superintelligent. They already have. Two things were added to achieve this. Base LLMs hallucinate answers to questions, resulting in information that is mostly accurate but often wrong, while still looking correct. First, reasoning was added - LLMs were trained to think through questions before answering. Now, verification is being added - LLMs are trained to check results to make sure they are correct. As AI improves across all three levels, it is becoming capable of doing things that far exceed human abilities. Superintelligence is here.
