We are broken tonight. Jax had a severe episode of desaturation where he just couldn’t recover, even on 100% oxygen and 6 liters. They rushed him from the floor back to the ICU and maxed him out on high flow oxygen. If that isn’t enough, the next step will be BiPAP. Then came the tremors—his little body shaking—and now they’re doing a 24-hour EEG to rule out seizures. He was so inconsolable they had to sedate him. They’re running test after test, but for now, we’re left with more questions than answers. What people don’t see is how fast this all changes. Minutes before it started, he was smiling so big, playing peekaboo, and melting hearts like always. We were even laughing, joking that he just wanted all the nurses around him because he was loving the attention. And then—just like that—it was gone. Smiles turned into panic. Joy turned into chaos. Our happy boy turned into one hooked up and sedated, fighting to keep his little body stable. There are no words for the heartbreak of watching your child go from laughter to this in an instant. Please, I’m begging—hit your knees, pray, send good juju, whatever you do—just lift Jax up. We need answers. We need strength. We need a miracle. Thank you to everyone who continues to walk this road with us.
