Allow me to add some (informed) speculation here: A CHS (informant) tells an FBI agent a tale about a Chinese ID plot in August 2020. The agent has no idea about the veracity of this info, but properly writes it up. An analyst sees the report and breathlessly puts out an intel report on it. Because analyst across the FBI and Intel community are under constant pressure to produce product. Then somebody notices, “hey, there is a press release from a month ago that ICE intercepted thousands of fake IDs. (See link in this article.) No idea if they were from China, but maybe the CHS is just reporting what they read, and adding a China angle. We better pull this back and investigate.” Investigation shows there is no corroboration to the source’s report, and possibly that it was false.

Comcast knows that federal law requires its licensed operations to serve the public interest. News distortion doesn’t cut it. Abrego Garcia came to America illegally from El Salvador, was validated as a member of the violent MS13 gang—a transnational criminal organization—and was denied bond by an immigration court for failure to show he would not pose a danger to others. Why does Comcast ignore these facts of obvious public interest?
