@Daddy_Padre There is nothing ethical with icing an AHL roster when you have healthy guys who can play in the NHL. That would be detrimental to any teams development (unless they secure a playoff spot and are resting guys for 1-2 games)

To dumb it down, no players on the Blues are gonna go out on the ice and purposely lose. And if Monty and Dougs intentions were to ice the worst roster for the tank, they either did a bad job or maybe this Blues group is actually capable of a lot more than what we saw this year.

The #STLBlues played young kids like Otto Stenberg and Theo Lindstein. They gave top line minutes to a 21 year old Jimmy Snuggerud. They plugged in waiver wire castoffs like Jack Finley and Jonatan Berggren. They called up AHLers Matt Luff and Hugh McGing. They gave more starts to their backup goalie. They gave 20 minutes a night to a kid that most everyone in the NHL had nicknamed “Lower Left Mailloux” because his stats were so bad. Justin Holl had spent the entire season in the AHL before being traded here. Seems to me they tried to tank, but the players had other plans.

@danreilly SEA gave an AHL goalie his first NHL start in their last game TOR gave multiple AHL guys NHL games in their last 4 games Hellebuyck didn’t play in WPGs last two games These are examples of what STL should’ve done once eliminated w/ guys like Zherenko, Dean, Stancl, Kaski, etc.

I don’t fuck with analytics because of shit like this. Like if you follow the Habs, this is nothing crazy. You put a talented player on a shitty team, obviously his numbers are gonna look trash. Kyrou has 43 points this year. He’d be a PPG in Pittsburgh easily

Brady Tkachuk is possibly the most overrated player in the NHL and I say that as a fan of his game. He's a really good player! But he's a 75-85 point player with average defensive outputs. He's basically Alex Tuch.

@AU5T0N @JFreshHockey St Louis and Vegas? LA, Boston, and Washington are bad examples of tanking. I think Chicago, Pittsburgh, Colorado, and Tampa are fair to say but theyre all historically good franchises. Edmonton, Toronto, and New York Rangers are terrible arguments for tanking.
