@AstronomyVibes The real journey wasn't the 3 billion miles, but the 9.5 years of waiting for our assumptions to be proven wrong.
We sent a probe to confirm a dead world and found a living one.
What other 'settled science' is just waiting for a closer look?
English

We had to travel 3 billion miles (5 billion km) and for 9.5 years to capture this image…
Humanity’s first close-up of Pluto reveals a geologically active world of towering ice mountains and shifting plains, shattering the myth of a frozen, dead rock.
After a nine-year journey spanning three billion miles, NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft captured a world far more complex than scientists ever imagined. Sweeping just 7,800 miles above Pluto’s surface, the probe revealed massive mountains reaching heights of 11,000 feet. Unlike Earth's rocky peaks, these structures are composed of solid water ice, which becomes as hard as stone in the extreme -390°F temperatures of the outer solar system. This discovery immediately challenged the long-held assumption that Pluto was a geologically dormant relic of the early universe.
The landscape surrounding these peaks proved equally startling, featuring the vast, crater-free nitrogen ice basin known as Sputnik Planitia. The lack of impact craters suggests that Pluto is actively resurfacing itself, a process driven by internal heat sources that were previously thought impossible for such a small, distant body. This evidence of ongoing geological activity indicates that Pluto is a dynamic, layered, and still-evolving world. What was once viewed as a cold, static rock is now recognized as one of the most intriguing and active frontiers in our solar system.

Free speech is not free consequence......on either side.
Expecting that you can "deport them all" without the left and well meaning people (i.e., not left) objecting to that in unpredictable manners is magical thinking......they will do so, that is the consequence of deporting them all.
Expecting that you can engage in obstructive protests and not get shot is dependent on both the patient restraint of law enforcement and luck. Both of those run out.
Either side can complain about the behavior of the other, but this is all very predictable.
English

(1) I don't think protestors should attempt to interfere with immigration agents.
(2) I think every American has the right to carry a gun.
(3) I think you, when engaging in obstruction with federal agents, can get hurt. When armed, things can go wrong.
(4) I think we actually don't know as much about this situation as we presume because both sides are focused more on telling narratives than getting to the facts of what actually happened.
(5) I think Tim Walz and Jacob Frey have made the situation far worse and destabilized by amping up white progressives and refusing to assist immigration agents.
(6) I think Kristi Noem and Greg Bovino have made the situation far worse by being unrestrained in how they proceed, not prioritizing the criminals, gang members, and more seriously problematic illegals, and not thinking of the public relations fall out should things like what are happening actually happen.
(7) I think Trump supporters who want an unrestrained and unmeasured deportation response are playing into the hands of progressives' PR and alienating normal voters.
(8) I think Trump cannot back down from deportations due to mob violence because that will only encourage more mobs and violence to stop other polices the left does not want.
(9) I think every illegal should be deported. I think prioritizing the worst ones who are criminals, gang members, drug dealers, etc. is a smart strategy and exposes the Left's sanctuary policies as unreasonable.

This is well deserved and the American people should be deeply honored by @MariaCorinaYA ‘s selection. This is recognition for the global leadership of our @POTUS @realDonaldTrump . Without his personal and committed leadership globally, wars would be breaking out everywhere.
The real winners here are the people of Venezuela, the American people and freedom lovers everywhere.
When Venezuela returns to democracy, the world will benefit.
Congratulations to @MariaCorinaYA and thank you @realDonaldTrump for your support and leadership.
Another globalist domino falls!

@seanmdav Setting aside the strengths/weaknesses of Bondi, Epstein is a Trump-level issue. Like Russia santions, Immigration, DEI-elimination, etc......Trump needs to do the right thing here....
English

The Epstein case isn’t just another random story people are focused on. It is a proxy for whether the Trump DOJ has what it takes to hold the Deep State accountable across the board. And people are rightfully concerned about DOJ’s competence given how it has handled the Epstein mess this year.
Bondi’s handling of the case thus far has been a disaster across the board, from the stupid binder and its idiotic rollout to the memo over the last week. I can tell you for a fact the FBI is in open revolt over her mishandling of the case, and that top officials have grave concerns that her lack of judgment is not just limited to this particular case.
There is no confidence in her ability to do what needs to be done and a firm belief that the DOJ under command is not equipped to handle a number of other major cases and investigations already in the works.
