@hudeatsbugs @KenSiemek Surface temp doesn't have to be 32 for snow to fall. 32-35 degrees is perfect for heavy wet snow. Snow comes from much colder air and doesn't melt by the time it reaches the ground. Heavy snow piles up quick even with warmish ground because it's such a good insulator.

Our snowfall POTENTIAL map has changed dramatically from yesterday...the snow threat looks more significant...with parts of eastern Nebraska looking at the "possibility" of more than 6" of snow...not out of the question that some locations see double-digit snow totals...

@NebraskaDog34 @rustywx I'm not rusty, but the high res models have been pretty good this year. HRRR has a good snow to liquid formula vs some of the others which are either 10:1 calculated or use the Kuchera model.

It seems that @elonmusk made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute, but again, we appreciate that people are on edge. In this moment, all sides should give one another a bit of grace, perhaps even the benefit of the doubt, and take a breath. This is a new beginning.
