18 February 1943 | A Polish woman Katarzyna Kwoka (no. 26946) perished in Auschwitz. She was born on 1 April 1896 in Wólka Zwojecka in Zamość County. Arrived at #Auschwitz on 13 December 1942 in a transport of 318 women. Among them was also her daughter, Czesława. Czesława Kwoka was murdered in #Auschwitz with a phenol injection into the heart on 12 March 1943, almost a month after her mother's death. In total during the so-called "Aktion Zamość", ethnic cleansing of the Zamość region, between November 1942 & March 1943, the Germans expelled some 110 thousand Poles from 297 villages of the region. See our online lesson dedicated to the fate of 1,301 people deported to Auschwitz within this ethnic cleansing program: lekcja.auschwitz.org/dep_zam_EN/

@JimMacIntosh1 O let me see Thy footmarks, And in them plant mine own; My hope to follow duly Is in Thy strength alone; O guide me, call me, draw me, Uphold me to the end; And then in heaven receive me, My Saviour and my friend.

@MandMsPodcast Hi both. I have been so looking forward to the first podcast of the summer challenge on Psalm 25. It's really great.... We want God's guidance but I guess the secret is getting to know the Guide. Thank you.

The messianic Jews (by very definition) and all orthodox Jews of the period absolutely believed there would be a Christ. But the point emphasized some 8 times in Hebrews is that it was "Jesus."

I was just struck by the fact for the first time (oddly) that the personal name of the Lord Jesus is used again and again (8 times) in Hebrews. Just "Jesus" without the accompanying "Lord" or "Christ" (those occur a few times).

Three years and 65,000 words later, and I've just hit send on my final article in a series on 2 Timothy. Grateful for a very patient editor and lots of encouragement from various readers along the way. Now to make them into some sort of book...

The special subject of Hebrews is worship and the transfer of priesthood from earth to heaven. Hence the cross is not presented as showing God's love or grace to sinners but the efficacy of the cross in heaven giving man a place before God in heaven, the One who died on the cross

Charles Schulz was born 100 years ago today. It’s pretty clear what he was saying when Linus drops the blanket—and it’s so simple it’s brilliant. thegospelcoalition.org/article/just-d…

@mrs_ebaum according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God.. 1 Peter 1:3-5
