Eliminating property taxes would increase the selling price of homes and further encourage boomers to never sell their homes, further depleting the supply of available homes. On top of that, it would deplete already cash-starved communities of funds for public services. Banning property taxes is great for wealthy boomers, bad for young people, small towns, and even boomers when they have a heart attack and need an ambulance but they can’t get one because the town cut that service

And when they grew old, every aspect of Federal politics became oriented around catering to them. We threw open the borders to mass migration to prop up the massive entitlement system they enjoyed, we borrowed trillions to fund their benefits, and we torched decades of future economic growth and productivity in order to ensure they had a comfortable retirement.
