@London_W4 That’s Shelduck Holmes, on the case of The Speckled Hen.

And I bought this from the village shop next door to this pub in England. It’s Sherlock Holmes. There’s a reason they sell Sherlock Holmes ducks in this village. Only very educated people will know the reason though. So there’s very little chance of a right answer here :)

@TimelessTrvlr London. We don’t have a car so I walk, cycle or use public transport. We have lost Zipcar, which is a big setback for the city in my view. For longer trips, rail or car hire.

Where would you move if you had to walk everywhere and own no car?

So, about those Eid prayers in Trafalgar Square. Some of you are gonna have a meltdown when you hear this.. What is that on Nelsons hat and where did it come from?

@BigBensw7 @narindertweets Europe at that time was enthralled by ‘the east’ and it is very likely that Nelson, whilst not a Muslim himself, said ‘kismet’, a Turkish word for fate, and not ‘kiss me’ in his dying words to Hardy.

@narindertweets @BigBensw7 On the statue’s hat is the standard naval officers’ cockade of the time. It’s a symbol of loyalty to the Hanoverian king and not the chelengk, although he did wear that at times. Pedantic I know. Nelson’s actual chelengk was stolen from Greenwich in 1951 and never recovered btw.

@NoContextBrits It has to be back bacon with a UK fry up, but I prefer crispy streaky bacon with scrambled eggs. I don’t think back bacon works with a US breakfast however, streaky bacon with pancakes and syrup and eggs over medium for me.

@Phil71427755 @lady_valor_07 I used to phone my now wife if I’d been on one. She ask me the nearest street sign then navigate me to the best tube to get me home - hoping autopilot would then kick in!

@WestcottMark @lady_valor_07 Could one still safely get shit faced somewhere in Covent Garden till 3:00 a.m. then stagger a few hundred meters to Bobby after Bobby asking for directions to Piccadilly cuz you're too drunk to remember what the last Bobby told you. I did that for six nights. Doubt I can today

@lady_valor_07 I had one of the best weeks of my life in London in 1984, but the jihadis have ruined your country. I'll never set foot in England again.

@badgerbob8 @Aestheticsn1 Blackburn has a cathedral - not quite the equal of Lincoln, but not bad for a non city. York has a minster. Durham, a cathedral.
