I was very purposeful in how I wrote and framed this. I hope the editors and journalists who follow me on Substack and here read it and start asking Sir Mark Rowley the questions he should answer in the aftermath of the two attacks in London on 29th April. samanthaasumadu.substack.com/p/the-met-poli…

Rowley is lying and he knows it. This is a resigning offence. He is whipping up fear and hatred by suggesting that marches deliberately march near synagogues. Its untrue. No march has directly passed a synagogue. He must retract and apologise or resign. middleeasteye.net/news/met-polic…

@wesstreeting For the record, do you support kicking people in the head when they are incapacitated on the ground Wes?

@SarahLudford @ZackPolanski That is quite a claim Sarah. Nearly 70,000 views of your potentially libellous post, which we have kept here for posterity. Migjt be time to delete before further action gets underway.

We’re all getting very tired @ZackPolanski of you parroting that you are ‘the only Jewish party leader’ as if that was a let-you-off-the-hook reason to absolve you from tolerating and even incubating rabid antisemitism in your party
Zack Polanski@ZackPolanski

Yesterday in Hastings, in the wake of antisemitic attacks in Golders Green, I faced Nazi salutes. Today the Prime Minister uses his office to attack the only Jewish party leader to score political points.

I am told the Independent Office for Police Complaints has already received HUNDREDS of representations about Sir Mark Rowley’s ill-judged letter to @ZackPolanski It is clear the Met Police Commissioner has overstepped the mark. Make your complaint here policeconduct.gov.uk/complaints/sub…

“Apprehending violent and dangerous criminals is a full contact and messy task which may appear shocking to observers with little experience of policing in the real world.” Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley writes to Zack Polanski.

@WestminLegal @ZackPolanski I was very confused about this post and then I saw your agenda and realised what your motivations are.

@WestminLegal Just say you hate Jews and you think they run the world in your profile. Much better than ‘non-woke’.

@WestminLegal @ZackPolanski In your poorly baased unverified opinion I see not a mass of legal experts backing your stance. Why do you think that is?

It is very unusual for the police to wade into politics like this, especially over a single tweet. And even more so during an election campaign. Many will surmise this is a resignation matter. I wouldn’t disagree.

@Phildidgee @ZackPolanski The point is Rowley appears to have breached the Police Code of Ethics and potentially the Policing Act 2003 by sending this letter. What do you think about the police wading into politics?

@WestminLegal @ZackPolanski I think its clear you defend Islamic extremism and terrorism and 56 likes proves your view are not shared by the vast majority of rational minded people who rightly see the Green party as the New Blackshirts Fascist party

There is nothing wrong with Sir Mark Rowley’s letter defending his officers. Zack Polanski publicly attacked the Met for a lawful “full contact” arrest of a violent, knife-wielding terror suspect who had just stabbed two people. The Commissioner has every right, and duty, to support his frontline officers and correct the record. This is responsible leadership, not “overstepping the mark”. The public deserves facts, not one-sided smears.

This is utterly horrific. The body-worn footage is damning—huge questions for the police. 😮 @BBCNews suggests clear collusion between MET & @NorthantsPolice to hide evidence! Massive respect to brave Nadine Buzzard-Quashie and @JonIronmonger’s journalism. Heads must roll.

The Police Regulations 2003 make it clear that a member of the police force shall not take any active part in politics. This brazenly partisan political intervention a week before an election in London is a clear breach of this duty to be neutral and impartial.

Has Mark Rowley ever posted a letter he wrote to a party leader? He just posted one saying that he's disappointed with Zack Polanski.
