Manipulation on Charts (Some few sentences from DrProfit Trading guide book) Remember that market makers only exist for one reason, to grab your money. They don’t care about the price action, as long a certain area has an interesting amount of liquidity, market makers will fake pump, or dump to that region, just to grab liquidity. These movements usually happen in the deepest part of a bear market, especially when volatility and volume are very low. Fake pumps are like cruel tricks played on traders. These sudden price explosions, followed by sharp dumps, are driven by a strategy known as a liquidity grab. The goal is to manipulate traders' emotions and turn a profit. Imagine this: You've shorted Bitcoin (BTC) at $30,000, expecting it to fall further. Suddenly, BTC drops to $25,000, making your trade seem profitable. But it's a trap. BTC quickly rebounds to around $26,800, and that's when market makers trap strike, to make you confused in your trade. They want to squeeze out traders who've shorted BTC. As it nears $30,000 again, you might close your short position, thinking you've made a smart move. That's when the trap snaps shut. Market makers create a fake pump, driving BTC price higher, maybe even to $30,000 or a bit more. This tempts traders to buy in. But it's a trap. The market makers then crash the price back down, often lower than before, like to $20,000. Remember, market makers aren't giving away free money. They thrive on the chaos of sudden price swings, using fear and greed to their advantage. Do not underestimate the irrational behavior of the market. Even if you believe you are right about the peak of a trend, do not rush into a trade position. At the same time, always be aware of your potential irrational behavior and avoid chasing the peak. When the bubble reaches a certain stage, the entry of rational individuals on the sidelines can be a very good signal. If you want to take trading seriously, start following serious accounts. Don't be surprised when your feed is full of memes and jokes and then they randomly try to post a trade that doesn't work. Majority of large or verified accounts post for engagement/likes, not to help you.
