@BCHL_Alberta @ReporterTubb @JeffMarek This is the first year that CHL players are eligible to play for NCAA so maybe it just hasn't happened yet. This is around the time classes end so that's probably the reason he's now skating with them.

Penguins are a good example of what not to do. They built around an aging core to generate a playoff birth with no real chance to win
Tear it down and rebuild properly
Flyers top 6 point scorers all age 30 and under. Penguins top 6 all age 31 and older.

I’m not sure what you have been paying attention to with the Pens recent drafts, but maybe look again.

Kale Dach and the Calgary Hitmen were eliminated last night by the Medicine Hat Tigers.
He finished the playoffs with 7 points (3G-4A) in 7 games.
He is committed to playing for Penn State University for the 2026-27 season.

@PensSystem You’re correct, I mixed up the rules. I think players that have already played in the NCAA lose their eligibility if they play in a pro game on an ATO.

Wonder if we see Kale Dach head to WBS on an ATO as well. It would have to be a very quick turn around, but WBS play a back-to-back this weekend. Would be a great time to make his debut.

Dervin wasn’t supposed to come to PSU until 27-28. He wanted to play college by 26-27. That’s why he deco’d a while back.

Forward Kieren Dervin has decommitted from Penn State and pledged to Michigan, he announced on Instagram. Dervin, a Vancouver Canucks prospect, was selected in the third round of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. Tough loss for Penn State as he was on pace to join the team next year.

After incoming freshman only ~4 spots will need to filled. It sucks to lose these guys but we don’t need to act like the sky is falling
