@zagrebbi The US "gun deaths" are 2/3 suicides, so it's not even fair to include those. The suicide rate in the US is roughly the same as Germany (13-15 per 100k). In Germany they just hang themselves instead of shoot themselves.

As summer comes into view, always remember that more Europeans regularly die in heat waves than Americans die in guns violence.

The sleaze of the Ds is probably a lot more, and of an anti-American flavor, and they started the use of government to go after opponents. It is weird that they do not see this at all. Zero. Ds also think Rs are "angry", and completely fail to see that they are the party of anger.

I'm not gonna lie, the @Meta layoffs are some of the most dystopian I've ever seen. They got told to work from home, they were sent the emails at 4AM in the morning. Those who weren't impacted have software on their computer that tracks their every move, preparing AI to take their job as well. They're literally training the AI that will eliminate their position as well. Meanwhile, Meta is raking in RECORD PROFITS. I am a massive, unapologetic AI enthusiast. Yet, this is NOT the future I had in mind. I wish for Meta to crash and burn. This is not the way. Literally nobody benefits from this.

It's bad. Nobody even tries to defend it. The closest thing to a defense you get is something about how "but Democrats suck" and "woke was also bad," which is not a defense, but rather a kind of moral blank check made out to the administration to give them the right to do anything. But what I'm most curious about is whether this sort of lurid corruption creates a countermovement that successfully returns government to rule of law or whether it's establishing a norm of executive imperialism that every future administration will use to achieve its ends, which can always be justified by the moral blank check of "the other side is worse, so let us do whatever we want."

This is nothing more than a White people tax. It's not racist. It's a fact. White people and Asians will pay the majority of the taxes. White people paying the lions share.
