This is obviously demagoguery, but to be clear, packing the Court to 13 Justices would destroy the independent judiciary and make the courts the political tool of whoever won the last electoral trifecta, while sending the rest of US law into chaos.

Genuinely incredible self-sabotage.

New: Sen. Rand Paul’s son drunkenly accosted and hurled anti-Semitic insults at Rep. Mike Lawler at a Capitol Hill bar on Tuesday night. The danger of 'anti status quo' politics is that it’s much better at attacking power than exercising it. It can be successful at winning elections! But once it wins, it becomes responsible for governing and then it becomes the next “status quo” for someone else to tear down...and now that style of rhetoric/politicking has been empowered, making your governance weaker overall. I think that empowering this kind of politics is a recipe for disaster. We need to reaffirm peoples faith in institutions (and yes, that entails reform to varying degrees) but a lot of the anti-institutionalist rhetoric Ive seen is frankly worrying.

Never gotten one single cent. I am just a dude who has opinions on politics. But they have to believe that everyone who is mean to their faves is a paid shill or something. Know this, dear follower: They will justify every bad action against you and call it righteous. You don't get to de-anonymize whoever you want whenever you want, thats not how this works.
