Our 2024 Red Cross Boston Heroes Breakfast kicks off honoring the very best of what the Commonwealth is about. Heroes and 10 different categories will take the stage and be recognized for what they have done to make Massachusetts a better place.

While off duty, Chief Murphy stopped at a burning home to help. Without protective equipment, Murphy searched all floors of the burning building, urging several people who were still inside to evacuate immediately. Our Firefighter Hero award is sponsored by @nationalgridus

Cesar manages Mass General Brigham Community Care Van, helping people in Greater Boston have access to medical care that is convenient to them, allow regular visits with health care providers. Our Community Impact Hero is sponsored by @FTI_US

4 Mayflower Beach lifeguards saved the lives of 3 swimmers one afternoon during a high surf advisory, preforming CPR on two. These brave young men displayed the bravery and skill that day, and are the recipients of the Emergency Professional Hero award sponsored by @GoldmanSachs

Susan Baur founded the Old Ladies Against Underwater Garbage, a group of volunteers (all of whom are in their 60s, 70s and 80s) who dive in ponds across Cape Cod, removing trash and debris that has sunk to the bottom. Our Climate Resilience Hero award is sponsored by @PwCUS

Two Boston Police officers who were both medics in the military now bring critical first aid training to Boston communities, teaching Stop the Bleed courses in community centers and offices around Mattapan and Dorchester. Our LE Hero award is sponsored by @MorganStanley
