.@WhitmanDebate had a chilly but exciting weekend in NYC at @Columbia. Four teams broke - Clara and Joanna, Danielle and Katherine got to double octafinals, Hannah and Liz got to quarter finals, and Zoe and Azraf reached semifinals. Zoe was 7th speaker.

Two weekends ago, at the speech WACFL, freshmen Frances Laufer and Bertille Aubert competed in Declamation, placing 8th and 4th respectively!

In last weekend’s Public Forum WACFL, freshmen Tony Joseph & Iman Ilias placed 10th, Aksel & Pascal Bell placed 9th, and Vishnu Dandi & Sophia Polly-Finshe placed 2nd in the Novice Division! Freshmen Chris Sylvester & Felix Leonhardt placed 9th in the Varsity Division.

Also at Apple Valley, Seniors Zoe Kaufmann & Azraf Khan advanced to octafinals. Senior Will Brown & junior Nate Olson advanced to quarterfinals! Both teams earned bids to year-end invitational Tournament of Champions Gold.

This weekend, Public Forum competed at Apple Valley tournament in MN. Seniors Ethan Gilman & Rohit Gude advanced to double-octafinals, earning a silver bid to Tournament of Champions!

Seniors Danielle Hazan and Katherine Sylvester finished as quarterfinalists earning a gold Tournament of Champions bid. Katherine was second speaker in the PF tournament! Congrats all! Go Vikes!

In PF: Juniors Ted Rock and Ethan Singer advanced to elim rounds. Juniors Zara Ali and Madeleine Wenger earned a silver Tournament of Champions bid with their double-octafinal finish.

Great weekend for Whitman Speech & Debate at NY City Invitational Tournament. In LD: Senior Daniel Harris advanced to double-octafinals and was 10th speaker for LD. Sophomore Ben Waldman was a semi-finalist and became our first qualifier this year for the Tournament of Champions!
