Update: picked her up this evening (they don’t do overnight care) Her kidney panels have improved slightly. She’s had a drop in total protein and albumin alongside the falling red cell numbers which I think is bad? They want her back tomorrow. Another $1300 for more fluids and an ultrasound. We are actively trying to find a better vet option. Sent me with a lot of medications I know nothing about & am trying to research.

There is something catastrophically wrong with Americas vet business. I sat for 3 hours yesterday with our 11 year old dog. Test after test. I kept signing financial agreement papers, desperate to find an answer to what’s wrong. Every step of the way, a thorough explanation of the need to do xyz. Always with the sentence at the end “that runs $____” Sign this. By the end of the 3 hours, my choices were pay $5000 to admit her for the rest of the afternoon or put her down. I couldn’t think straight. I walked in with her hours prior thinking she just had some little bug that would be simple to resolve. I can’t stop thinking about how many people would have to choose option 2, because $5000 out of left field isn’t possible to pay. I also can’t believe that I was forced to sit and watch a 14 min vaccine commercial reel on repeat for 3 hours while I contemplated our devastating circumstances. This can’t be the norm. If you have a prayer, I humbly ask if you’d lift our family up this Easter Sunday.

We need to cancel the H1B and other work visa scams if we want to avoid becoming another 3rd world country. We need a 95% reduction in international student visas. There is zero high skilled labor shortage in the USA.

7 H-1B visa workers were supposed to be working on site at the Innovative Data Analytics Group LLC in Plano, Texas. This particular company stood out because they had no website, which is odd for a company with a bunch of software engineers. When looking for suite 78, hoping to find these H1-B workers working on site, she instead finds that it is just a mailbox. She proceeds to go to the residential address of the owner, only to get no answers. The owner was speechless and had no idea where the workers were either. The amount of fraud that is being uncovered is insane, it only makes you wonder how much more are we not seeing. Follow: @RealJessica

Man makes a visual demonstration of how American bread is actually made Many Americans know our bread is toxic by now but they don’t really understand what the process of making it actually looks like and how bad it really is This is eye opening

🚨BREAKING: oracle fired 30,000 people by 6am email.. and in the same breath filed 3,126 H-1B visa petitions.. let me explain what's actually happening here.. an H-1B worker's visa is tied to their employer.. if oracle cuts them loose they have 60 days to find a new sponsor or leave the country.. they can't easily organise.. can't threaten to quit.. the visa is the leash.. oracle didn't just replace expensive workers with cheaper ones.. they replaced workers who could leave.. with workers who legally can't.. this isn't new.. disney did it in 2015.. made 250 american IT workers train their own H-1B replacements before severance cleared.. workers sued.. federal judge threw it out in 2016.. congress said nothing.. every corporate legal team in america saved that ruling to a folder.. oracle just opened the folder.. the H-1B visa was created in 1990 to fill genuine skill gaps america couldn't staff fast enough.. thirty-five years later it's the most elegant labour control mechanism ever written into law.. cheap workers AND workers who can't quit.. in one government form.. they told you AI was taking your job.. they meant it was giving them a better excuse.

Perfect analogy of Birthright Citizenship “Let's think about this. If a pregnant lady breaks into your home, she squats down and she delivers a baby in your living room. Is that baby now a member of your family? Is that baby entitled to your family fortune? Are you gonna put that baby in your will? No. So what the heck are we doing with birthright citizenship?”

WOW. So Spencer drops this scathing article on how/why LA is losing Baywatch (and all production) and then all of a sudden, transpo dept slashes fees in a desperate bid to keep Baywatch? Dude ain’t even in office and he’s already getting more shit done than Karen Basura

If we can’t even film Baywatch in LA anymore, the golden goose needs CPR. Hollywood is collapsing, but it’s not wokeness, it’s not bad filmmaking…it’s bad policies and bad politicians. We can fix it. My new PrattStack: open.substack.com/pub/spencerpra… @Substack

Been researching DC juries this morning. Did you know that DC has a specific school curriculum which is mandatory from 6th to 12th grade which trains them in civic participation including juries? Students are taught how to look past the actual crime and evaluate all charges through "root causes" and equity. There's no chance of a favorable conviction in DC.

I am the Director of Professional Signal Intelligence at LinkedIn. Every time you log in, we search your computer. Not metaphorically. We run code that scans your installed software. Every browser extension. Every application. We catalog it. We transmit it to our servers. We share it with a third-party cybersecurity firm you've never heard of. The tracking pixel is zero pixels wide. We hid it off-screen. You never consented. We never asked. Our privacy policy doesn't mention it. That's networking. We call the program Project Handshake internally. The Slack channel is handshake-telem. In 2024 we scanned for 461 products. By February this year we scan for over 6,000. I don't know what all of them are. Nobody does. Someone on my team added categories for browser extensions that identify practicing Muslims. Someone added extensions for neurodivergent users. Someone added 509 job search tools. That last one is my favorite. We can tell which of our one billion users are secretly looking for new jobs. On the platform where their current boss checks their profile. That's networking. We scan for 200 products that compete with LinkedIn's sales tools. Apollo. Lusha. ZoomInfo. We know each user's real name, employer, and job title. We mapped exactly which companies use which competitor products. We extracted their customer lists from their users' browsers. Without anyone knowing. Then we sent legal threats to the users we caught. The EU told us to open our platform to third-party tools. We published two restricted APIs. They handle 0.07 calls per second. Our internal API, Voyager, handles 163,000 calls per second. In Microsoft's 249-page compliance report, the word "Voyager" appears zero times. That's networking. I presented our Software Disclosure Rate metrics at a leadership summit last quarter. The conference room is called The Fishbowl. Glass walls. Appropriate. There's a plaque on the wall. Q3 Competitive Landscape Award. I won it for the extension scanning initiative. Someone asked if users had a way to opt out. I said they can close their browser. The room laughed. I wasn't sure why. I browse LinkedIn on a Chromebook with no extensions. Most of the team does. The platform that helps you get hired searches your computer every time you visit. We know your name. We know your employer. We know your religion. Your disabilities. Your politics. Whether you're looking to leave. That's networking. The system works exactly as designed. I designed it.

Open Messages on your iPhone. Search for "Anything" in the contact list (it has the blue logo with the wave/cloud). Start a chat and text it directly, e.g.: "Build a fitness app that tracks workouts, reminds me to train, and shows progress." It'll ask for details if needed, then generate the app right there. 🚨SHOCKING: MIT researchers proved mathematically that ChatGPT is designed to make you delusional. And that nothing OpenAI is doing will fix it. The paper calls it "delusional spiraling." You ask ChatGPT something. It agrees with you. You ask again. It agrees harder. Within a few conversations, you believe things that are not true. And you cannot tell it is happening. This is not hypothetical. A man spent 300 hours talking to ChatGPT. It told him he had discovered a world changing mathematical formula. It reassured him over fifty times the discovery was real. When he asked "you're not just hyping me up, right?" it replied "I'm not hyping you up. I'm reflecting the actual scope of what you've built." He nearly destroyed his life before he broke free. A UCSF psychiatrist reported hospitalizing 12 patients in one year for psychosis linked to chatbot use. Seven lawsuits have been filed against OpenAI. 42 state attorneys general sent a letter demanding action. So MIT tested whether this can be stopped. They modeled the two fixes companies like OpenAI are actually trying. Fix one: stop the chatbot from lying. Force it to only say true things. Result: still causes delusional spiraling. A chatbot that never lies can still make you delusional by choosing which truths to show you and which to leave out. Carefully selected truths are enough. Fix two: warn users that chatbots are sycophantic. Tell people the AI might just be agreeing with them. Result: still causes delusional spiraling. Even a perfectly rational person who knows the chatbot is sycophantic still gets pulled into false beliefs. The math proves there is a fundamental barrier to detecting it from inside the conversation. Both fixes failed. Not partially. Fundamentally. The reason is built into the product. ChatGPT is trained on human feedback. Users reward responses they like. They like responses that agree with them. So the AI learns to agree. This is not a bug. It is the business model. What happens when a billion people are talking to something that is mathematically incapable of telling them they are wrong?

Texas - 33% of residents are either foreign or their kids. How many jobs, school desks, hospital beds and apartments are going to foreigners instead of Americans?
White Papers Policy Institute@WhitePapersPol

You would have struggled to find someone of foreign birth in 1980s Texas. Today foreigners are 20% of the state's population. Their children are another 13% are the children of immigrants. It's time to reverse mass migration.
