@Whut006 @CoachPauI The context of this post had to do with eating candy during workout…

Real talk: most people’s training doesn’t justify intra-workout candy.

@jpoliveras @CoachPauI Mate you drink it you don’t eat it. But as you said you never tried it out so i don’t know how you can have such a strong opinion about it

Only thing u want is a high glycemic index carb prior to working out, this can even be like 15-30 mins prior as long as its not a huge quantity, ie: rice cakes U should not be eating during a workout Your digestive system uses energy and that energy will take away from your workout + increased chance of nausea or upset stomach

@jpoliveras @CoachPauI That is not true i’m sorry. And i experienced it first hand but only on legday. So yes carbs help with that. It is all about the intensity and how fast you burn down glucose in your system

@jpoliveras @CoachPauI Well if you train on low carb that day and train hard you can get blurry eyes or and your blood sugar goes down which you can prevent with a few grams of carbs in your water or with some dextro tabs.

@RatioNChill @paulsaladinomd @Breedlove22 People are just yapping all the time dude 9-11, 12-15 whatever it is not an exact sciene. It depends on so many different factors. What is more plausible ist between 10-20% but also this is with a pinch of salt to take

9-11% is the optimal body fat % for males (see @Breedlove22 photo used w/permission). adding fat to this decreases testosterone (~12ng/dL per 1%)... but so does going below it (see Wesley Visser's at 4.1% photo. dropping below 8/9% body fat with dieting/reta/other GLP-1s will tank your testosterone. not too lean, not too fat. The male body wants some fat but you should still see your abs! imo the first steps to achieving this are: -eating 90%+ of your diet as single ingredient foods (beef, chicken, fish, fruit, vegetables as tolerated) -1g animal protein/lb goal body weight -adequate carbohydrates from foods that do not mess with your gut (if you are going to eat grains/beans, prepare them with intention - soaking, sprouting, fermentation, etc.) -sleeping 8 hrs per night

@pizza_91 @HankFrank @natolisnuggets Yes sure the are a really good gadched but not more. So if you get a bad sleep score from your watch and you feel fine what messurement is better? Surely you can be biased into thinking you sleped bad which wasn‘t the case. Have you done a performance test before? I guess not

@Whut006 @HankFrank @natolisnuggets So like the HR they’ll show you is indeed correct, but that HR may have been from 2-3 seconds ago depending on which watch model you have. Same for pace. V02 on watches is usually underestimating folks not overestimating either

Ditching wearables because they stress you out is like deleting your bank app because you don’t like your balance. The information isn’t the problem. Your relationship with the information is.
Dan Go@CoachDanGo

For the past 6 months I've gotten away from using an Apple watch, Oura, Whoop, and any other type of wearable. I've noticed no changes in my physical health but a positive change in my mental health as I've stopped using a piece of tech to tell me how I should feel.

@HankFrank @natolisnuggets If you think the data is correct from the wearable then you are fooling yourself. Without oxygen messurement all the data is a „guessing“ game by a really good algorythm and not an exact science.

@natolisnuggets That’s exactly what I mean though… the wearable told you something about your sleep that didn’t match how you felt and it bothered you. That’s a relationship with the data problem, not a wearable problem.

@SatejGohel @rishabmishraa Mate from your profil you‘ve been into sports for about 6 years of your life. How about you shut up about other people‘s health. Clearly you didn‘t care 6years ago but now you are setting standards for the „healthy“ adults. Get a grip mate

For the “I have to eat protein bar” bros, here’s how to easily hit 200g of protein from real food. Meal 1 = 1 Cup of greek yogurt, 1 whole egg, 5 egg whites. Meal 2 = 7 oz of chicken breast Meal 3 = 8 oz sirloin Meal 4 = 9 oz of white fish Is this that hard to commit to?

@rasmr_eth Most people blame genetics when in reality they don’t push themselves nearly hard enough or take nutrition seriously enough For some small amount of people it might be true but the upper limits of what you can achieve natty for the average person is definitely “jacked” lol

You should be able to do 15-20 body weight pull-ups with incredible form before you ever think about adding weight. Muscle doesn’t respond to the weight you’re using. It responds to stimuli.

Grapes, mango, pineapple, bananas… High sugar. Low satiety. Fast blood sugar spikes. You can eat hundreds of calories worth in minutes and still feel hungry shortly after. Now compare that to berries... Lower sugar. Higher fiber. Slower digestion. More stable energy. If your goal is better energy, better focus, and better metabolic health… this distinction matters.
