The fact that you think Ramadan abstention is only inclusive of food shows how little you actually know about Ramadan. Depending on the person in question and their interests/habits, it can include a number of things. These include but are not limited to: Marital intimacy Cigarettes Beverages of any sort Video games TV Arguing angrily etc. All this, while not eating, while also attempting to make it one's business to read a considerable portion of the Qur'ān everyday. Not to mention the fact that much of this time is spent by some preparing these amazing meals you wish to mock: those who cook have to basically spend hours looking at food being prepared while having enough discipline to not eat until the appropriate time. All this, while also going about our daily activities, which are inclusive of the 5 daily prayers that we already do 365 days a year. So don't lecture us.
