Health care workers care for everyone – illness does not discriminate. But now health care workers are spending precious time worrying about cuts to Medicaid and rural health care. I am grateful to have heard directly from health care leaders from the Eastern Shore region.

Waste of time and money, but that was never what it was about. It was about a President trying to intimidate judges and prevent them from protecting the rights of the people.

While the President is spending over a million dollars in tax payer money  a day to keep up the performance of having the National Guard in D.C., he’s also cutting funding that could actually make our communities safer. Investing in our people, intervention, and giving law enforcement the resources that they need will produce results.

Despite Trump's efforts to defy our Constitution, the courts are upholding Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s due process rights. Following their ruling, I’m glad he’s finally returning to Maryland. He must be allowed to continue to assert his rights because when one person’s rights are denied, EVERYONE’S are at risk.

Trump and Republicans promised to help working families. Instead Maryland got: 🍎 Groceries costing more each week 🍼 Unaffordable child care 📈 Inflation increasing And now he cut health care and food assistance.

From the Eastern Shore of MD to communities across the country, patriots are standing up against the lawlessness of this administration. Thankful for the hundreds of Marylanders who joined our town hall at Chesapeake College today. We won’t stop fighting — not for one second.

I am so proud of the @TexasHDC and the work that they’ve done. Their willingness to put themselves on the line to highlight the current assault on our democracy has set an example for what all of us have to do.
