@RealPostFolder When you have kids, all the things that used to be boring are exciting again… youve seen your favorite movie 100 times but you get to feel like it’s the first time when you watch it with them. A roller coaster ride that you’ve ridden 100 times is fun again when you take your kid

@Widebrookauthor @YuvalKordov 😂😂 I don't normally care for sex scenes in books, they dont make me clutch my pearls but most of the time they don't offer much outside of titillation. Those scenes, though, I found a mix of beautiful and horrifying

If you're limited to one, what's your favorite fantasy/sci-fi work of all time? Can be a single book, a trilogy, a series, etc etc, but you can only pick one

@ZB_Steele @YuvalKordov The soldier was definitely way above average. It just doesn't have the same emotional depth. It's more about the horror/violence side of the Shrike, which was very cool but less unique. The other stories were more linked to the mystery, which to me, was more compelling to read.

@Widebrookauthor @YuvalKordov I'd put the poet as my favorite, followed shortly by the scholar and the priest. I do think the soldier is underrated, I always feel like I like his story more than most

@YuvalKordov @ZB_Steele The priest part is just on another level in terms of thematic depth and symbolism. I can only dream to ever pull off something like that. And that scholar story... right in the feels. I loved the poet's voice as well. Such a rich read.

@Widebrookauthor @ZB_Steele Priest's Tale and Scholar's Tale are absolute peak fiction. I reread post-having kids and the latter in particular had me in many tears.

@YuvalKordov @ZB_Steele A really special book. My first read was only recently and damn… Id been missing out. The variety of voices and prose are out of this world. RIP Simmons.
