It depends on how the SCC sides with gun owners. But in all likelihood, not much. Although it'll certainly be embarrassing for the Liberals if they have to explain to everyone why they have to re-ban firearms the SCC prevented them from banning the first time. The LPC well of political capital is not infinite

He's crushed it. With only approx. 3.5 billion in guaranteed new deals. The rest are mou's or trade extensions. No deal with the 🇺🇸 GDP down, housing down, cost of living up, food inflation #1 in the G7. 2.2 million people at food banks. 700 are kids. We're now energy dependant. Canada is giving away its land Youth unemployment has skyrocketed .. Carbon tax does cause inflation Bank of Canada says our economy is on LiFe Support. Deficit is the highest ever PBO said the budget was stupefying. His is trying to pass 1984 style censorship bills. And not passed a single bill to make life more affordable. Grocery rebate -- proven to be a 14b taxpayer bill for the future. Middle class tax cut has already been eaten by the cost of living. I can go on...?

Once Carney gets a Majority the HoC will hardly ever sit. Committees will be adjourned as soon as they start making the liberals look bad. Non confidence votes will be few and far between. A majority is a defacto dictatorship, and Carney will demonstrate how far it can be pushed. As long as the media refuses to do their jobs, and hold government to account, we are in for a rude awakening.

Interesting how a day after news breaks that the amnesty will likely be extended, the gov't sends out an ambiguously worded email that, in bold text, is easily misread as "no extensions to the amnesty will be provided," when it is actually referring to the ASFCP deadline.

@Euginate_POG That the legal challenge is going to the Supreme Court increases the likelihood that the gov't will extend the amensty in order to avoid a potential injunction being granted (because they can control the terms of an amnesty extension, but not the terms of an injunction).

You are then choosing incarceration over surrendering what you voluntarily told them you possess. Not much of a choice. As with ANY law enforcement agency. KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT

PSA: "Declaring" a firearm does not commit Public Safety to providing compensation... ...and similarly, you are not committed to surrendering your firearm, even if you receive an "offer" of compensation after March 31. So nobody knows how many firearms will actually be turned in!
