Ce qui est amusant, c’est qu’on est typiquement ici dans une situation où la personne ne comprend pas ce qu’elle ne comprend pas. Le QI a cela de notable qu'il est un instrument extrêmement utile et puissant pour comprendre le monde, mais qu'il commence à perdre de sa pertinence le jour où une personne se préoccupe de son score de QI. Pourquoi? Parce que ça signifie qu'elle ne comprend pas la différence entre la température et la mesure affichée sur le thermomètre. Quand on utilise un thermomètre, c'est pour mesurer de façon neutre la température de la pièce, sans chercher à "maximiser la température affichée". Tout le monde comprend que si vous placez le thermomètre sous votre aisselle pendant une minute, la pièce n'est pas devenue plus chaude parce que le thermomètre afficherait maintenant une température plus élevée. De la même manière, si vous fétichisez le score de QI en tant que tel, vous pouvez tout à fait vous entraîner spécifiquement aux sous-test cognitifs d'un test de QI pour "augmenter votre score", vous pouvez aussi passer plusieurs tests et ne retenir que le score le plus élevé, ou retenir le score élevé que vous aviez eu quand vous avez passé un test (moins fiable) en étant enfant, etc. C'est complètement stupide puisque le but du test de QI est simplement de mesurer efficacement votre intelligence (dont on sait qu'elle va ensuite être corrélé à tout un tas de traits socialement désirables), et non pas de vous mousser en tentant de maximiser le résultat. Il est évident que ce n'est pas en trouvant des subterfuges pour augmenter votre score de QI que vous êtes réellement devenu "plus intelligent"... et le fait de ne pas comprendre ça est ironiquement une preuve de vos limitations intellectuelles. (C'est d'ailleurs la raison pour laquelle Mensa n'est pas du tout représentatif des personnes à haut QI, puisque Mensa attire à la fois les haut QI qui se préoccupent de ce sujet (c'est déjà un échantillon restreint), mais aussi les gens qui s'entraînent sur des tests de QI pour être accepté chez Mensa... sans comprendre que c'est un détournement absurde du but initial de Mensa.) En utilisant son score de QI comme porte-étendard et motif de fierté 'en tant que tel', Casus Lady ne comprend même pas qu'elle se place automatiquement dans la case des gens qui ne saisissent pas toutes ces nuances, ce qui prouve paradoxalement l'exact inverse de ce qu'elle voulait prouver. Par ailleurs, Casus Lady ne semble pas non plus comprendre que dans son cas précis, on peut déjà juger son intelligence verbale ainsi que sa capacité à raisonner puisqu'elle est une personnalité qui s'exprime publiquement. Donc si elle nous annonce qu'elle a un QI qui paraît sur-estimé au regard de notre perception de ses capacités cognitives, on a parfaitement raison de mettre en doute en premier lieu son score de QI, plutôt que notre jugement sur son intelligence apparente. Semi-habilisme de très haut niveau.
