The other kids had dreams about growing up to be rich and famous. But Billy was realistic as hell about his future.

@WilliamShatner Starfleet Academy is awful. They badly ruined a quote from a Picard speech, and in one scene they spelled imminent as imminient. Now misspelling is not a crime. Happens to all of us. But how did that error escape literally everyone and get on screen? The show is amateurish.

Star Trek exists in more than one world. It exists in the fantasy of science fiction - weird and wonderful things that play unimaginable possibilities of exploration and human endeavor. But it also exists in the fantasy of human beings, the perfection of human beings, the exploration that human beings have made since the dawn of time and the continuing exploration - physically mentally and morally. It’s that aspect of Star Trek that I’ve always loved, to look at something physically that doesn’t exist now by these talented writers & designers but also to tackle the eternal human questions the agonies, the ecstasies. Star Trek should exist for a long time to come based on those truths. I for one would love to see its continuity. It’s with sorrow that I hear about the cancellation of the new Star Trek series.

I reply, “website says you do”. Second blue shirt asks the podium guy where that would be and he is directed to the Apple cage where, by some miracle, the cable exists. They wouldn’t have made that sale if I accepted the first answer.

@BestBuy 5:30pm on a Saturday. Five blue shirts standing by the front door chatting. The sixth, at the podium, asks me if I need help. I ask him where to find a very common Apple cable. He calls over one of the blue shirts and asks. He immediately says, “we don’t have that”.
