@DemonicEdwards @RyanMarino @CherylRofer In the US, osteopathic (DO) medical schools adopted science-based medical practice, have a curriculum that is almost identical to MD schools, and have access to the same residency programs. This is unlike the rest of the world, where osteopathy is basically chiropractic.

@CarriePoppyYES I don't have snakes myself, but I reccomend the @SnakeDiscovery YouTube channel (@SnakeDiscovery" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@SnakeDiscovery) as a form of exposure therapy. They are so informative, fun, and positive about the reptiles in their care. It's helped me go from "snakes are scary" to "snakes are cool".

Since I switched careers from design to chemistry before content aware fill was a thing, I'm less familiar with how it looks!

@henryimiller @MicrobiomDigest @MDAndersonNews Photoshop user here. Looks a little like content-aware fill. It uses existing parts of the image to automatically fill in selected areas. Could also be a clone brush.

@stargazingfool0 @morethantracyt @frogs4girls Yeah, in 38 states there is no legally required paid time off. Even when an employer offers paid time off, employees often feel pressured not to use it.

@morethantracyt @frogs4girls The last salaried job I was in (in U.K.) I got 35 days holiday plus bank Holidays plus the office closed between Christmas and New Year. I remember finding out my American counterparts got 10 days and nearly passed out when they told me it was an above average allowance.

btw the stereotype of americans i have run into the most so far in europe is that americans work themselves to death for nothing

@morethantracyt @frogs4girls Employers in the UK are legally required to offer full-time workers 28 paid days off including bank holidays. I get 30 paid days off in addition to all the bank holidays. Oh, and in the UK if you're off sick for less than a week, you don't have to provide a doctor's note.

@frogs4girls I found out when I was in the UK that people there get 25 paid days off PLUS bank holidays even if they’re part time???? I feel like I have to find a way to move there at any cost. I’ve never had a paid day off in my life

On the other hand, the fact that I've had to google that more times than I remember offers support for your hypothesis!
