@LilyWonderland5 @dugraha @PensionsMonkey Workers are paid on utility and value created, shareholders are rewarded for the risk they’ve taken in buying and holding a share of the company.

How is it 65% of our population are so economically illiterate?
Politics UK@PolitlcsUK
🚨 NEW: 65% of Brits support the Green Party's policy of capping CEO pay at ten times the pay of the lowest paid employee
English

What are set wages? The owner/manager decides how much to pay staff based on their utility to the company. If someone’s doing a good job and creating value wages rise accordingly, otherwise they’ll leave and go somewhere else where someone will pay them accordingly. Exactly as they would if you capped CEO pay. Plenty of other countries who won’t cap pay.
English

@WillSelwyn @dugraha @PensionsMonkey Then how do you explain set wages within a company. These themselves are a control of the price of labour.
English

@dugraha @PensionsMonkey There shouldn’t be a cap, or any artificial attempt to control the price of labour. The earnings of any worker in a company should reflect the value they bring to shareholders in terms of profit and share price, nothing more and nothing less.
English

@PensionsMonkey @WillSelwyn Where would you cap it. If you wouldn’t cap at all, where do you believe the value is in paying one individual so many times more than another.
Personally, I think 20 times is a good cap.

@LeeJarvis10 Watched it live, within two or three phases all 15 players were bunched up around the ruck with acres of space for BB and Attisogbe to run into, or Jalibert to kick wide. There was no defensive structure at all. Contrast to France, spread out on the line man marking every time.

@HOUSEPORN___ Here in the UK that would be a swimming pool for 9 months of the year.

@CharlotteCGill Currently doing HBOT to try and heal an ankle injury, only 5 sessions so far so a bit early to tell if it’s working but feel pretty good!

Things that helped (thanks to endocrinologist):
4000iu Vit D per day
2 x folic acid tablets per day
50 sessions hyperbaric oxygen therapy (gamechanger even though it sounds bizarre)
Pacing
+ low dose of thyroid medication which seems to be kicking in🤸
Energy is so important and doctors need to treat it seriously
English

Doctors not believing me when I have really struggled with my energy. They were just determined that it was mental health (“try yoga and Headspace”) rather than a physical issue. I’m now a lot better after seeing a private endocrinologist. Post-viral fatigue & an unhappy thyroid.

what’s a clear example of medical misogyny you’ve witnessed or experienced?

@LeeJarvis10 Not sure we'll score that many against England, and would be surprised if we hold them to 38.

@dontdelay Yes😆Just waiting for the day someone says 'not really arsed, whatever'

@WillSelwyn ‘It means I should be able to negotiate a higher paying contract next year’
Please. One day. Ignore your media training and say this 🤣

‘Forced to’
