That magazine was "Galaksija"- a Yugoslav science and Sci-Fi phenomenon published throughout the 1970s and 1980s. When imports of Western computers were impossible, Galaksija published the blueprints for a home computer (the "Galaksija") in a special DIY edition. The result? Thousands of people soldered their own boards. Most computers had no case, so they lived in cigar boxes, wooden crates, or custom metal frames. "Naked" computing at its finest. Before the internet, radio shows like Belgrade's Ventilator 202 broadcast software straight over the airwaves. You simply held a cassette recorder to the speaker, recorded the static, and there was your new program. Beyond the tech, the magazine was a visual trip. @TheDoorRestorer A friend of mine got a large plastic suitcase full of used screws as a joke gift for bday 20 or so years ago. Went thru 3/4 of them.

When I was a kid, I used to sort various size, mixed up screws for my father, and putting them in the appropriate box. Half a century on, I'm still doing it now. For myself. The average age of these screws has got to be similar. 😀 Reclaim Restore Re-use Recycle ♻️

I just spent 2 incredible weeks in Italy and it is so frustrating to come back to the U.S… How is it possible @RobertKennedyJr that the Italian food supply is so vastly superior. I literally ate bread at every meal, dessert multiple times per day, and generally ate way more than I do in the U.S. Not once did I have acid reflux. Not one headache, no digestive problems, and I didn’t gain any weight. If I ate the same way in the U.S. (I used to at times) I would have gone through a full bottle of Tums and Advil just to get through the day… WHY does the U.S. allow glyphosate in wheat, high fructose corn syrup in food and who knows what in our milk products? The difference in quality of life in Italy vs the U.S. is staggering from their common sense (anti corporate) food regulation. WHY aren’t more people upset about this? The U.S. is the richest country in the world and we eat like one of the poorest.

Že dobro uro se mučim dokler razmišljam,kako pridet ven iz fjordov (Steivig) z vleko dolgo 150m. Nimam pojma. Not ni problem-ampak za ven it - bo še kalkuliranja,čakanje plime z vmesnim švicanjem in nervi kot struna.

Waterworld (1995) got destroyed as a bloated mess, but it’s a huge swing that actually delivers, the world building feels lived in, the action still holds up. A post apocalyptic film that was ahead of its time and overdue for a serious reassessment.

@BiankaB12 We have a dryer, a electric heated rack and a normal rack. Using them all.

An europoor here 🙋‍♀️ I have a dryer, several balconies AND a yard. During winter, I still dry my clothes on a rack in my bedroom, because it humidifies the air + smells of fresh laundry when I go to bed. During the summer, I dry them outside in the sun. A dryer is not that expensive and most households can afford one. Most people that have them, still dry their clothes on a rack more often than not.
