Will Keane is certainly up there as one of the worst ever loan signings we’ve ever had, and we’ve had some proper stinkers. #readingfc

Not too unhappy with Richardson overall but I would love to know the logic and thought process behind recruiting Will Keane and playing him in a deeper role. Up there with Stam playing Lewis Grabban in midfield in the baffling moves department. Plenty to be done this summer.

Yes, we were playing an excellent side, but in game of so much importance to us too, one shot on target (a very late, scored free-kick) just isn't good enough at all And then to throw a valuable point away with ANOTHER late conceded goal... Deary me

@RJMobsby Hard when this summer was so slow and there’s clearly been some unexpected financial skeletons to deal with for the ownership. I think Leam’s got a good idea of what we need though.

@Wimby Two years in a row now where we fall short. Question becomes how do you fix it. In the cold light of day how many players are adequate at this level, but not consistent enough to get you out of it. And will Richardson's long-term ideas reap rewards or further struggles.

It’s not over until it’s over but that felt like a real dagger today. Has all the vibes of 03/04 and 04/05 where we just didn’t have the gas left in the tank to make top six. Can take nothing away from the progress made, happy with the direction of travel overall.
