FTL with our understanding of physics is like medieval doctors trying to figure out X-rays. But 210x faster than light? that'd depend on the distance travelled. So silly all round.

If a change of heart has occurred then great for her but lets not pretend like this isn’t exactly why the Orthodox priesthood gate-keep baptism and the Eucharist for only those who have gone through the oftentimes years long catechism process. The overnight switch from hoe to holy is an internet trend which denigrates the sacredness of the sacrament of baptism. As if accepting Christ as our saviour is something we can casually choose on a whim when it suits us. It creates this entitled attitude which expects immediate applause for doing the bare minimum if anything at all to repent of and truly transform our way of life to be in alignment with church teaching. That accepting Christ costs us nothing which is so seldom the case. It raises a lot of skepticism and doubt among true believers and feels a bit too much like casting pearls before swine. How do we know she’s not just using the precious sacrament of baptism to advance her public career? We don’t and worse than that we have seen many people do this already. It means people who don’t even really understand what baptism is can walk on up to the tub and take a dip for fun like it’s a dunk tank at the fair, the priest reduced to that of a carny pulling the lever. It’s giving “step raaaaht up get yer baptism!” It’s not just her that’s being robbed of the fullness of the faith and perhaps even her actual salvation, it also cheapens the path of the convert and what is truly meant by being reborn to “content.” No doubt this complete lack of protectiveness regarding the sacraments among the schismatics is leading many others astray too. I remain skeptical of this thing until further notice.

@kalaelizabeth Yeah, the game wasn't for me, either. I could acknowledge its quality in most areas, I just wasn't gripped by it.

There have been a lot of people telling me to push through even if I don't enjoy the combat and I'm not going to do that. I'm disabled. I have to carefully manage how and how much I use my hands. If it worked for you that's awesome, but as a disabled gamer it's different for me.

After 10 hours with Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 I just don't think it's for me. I really liked the writing, the characters and the RPG elements, but I don't like the combat and the world just didn't grab me. I still think it's a good game, just not a game for me and that's okay!

Expedition 33 and Dispatch are mid-sized studios (of 10+ people) with veteran talents from massive studios (From TellTale to Ubisot) -- @geoffkeighley if you accept @MegabonkGame 's resignation, it should open discussion with revamping the whole list

@geoffkeighley @MegabonkGame It doesn't matter about his experience. If he is at a new indie studio and it is their debut game, it should qualify. You might as well remove all the games from the category as most of these developers have gotten their experience from somewhere.

@common_north @PeterP_1985 Exactly. Baldur's Gate 3 is also a renowned IP, from a renowned studio that perfected its formula in D:OS 2. They're also much closer to SRPGs, with positioning and environment, as opposed to the traditional turn-based system. E:33 is a raw, linear turn-based RPG.

@PeterP_1985 I know they both have RPG in the genre name but that's where the similarities mostly end. They are thematically and mechanically very VERY different games

It's not "indie" in the same vein as Despelote, Blue Prince, or even Stardew
