The big picture problem is simple, Rob Refsnyder has been a worse bat against LHP this year than either Canzone or Raley have been in their career totals, which has made a complete LHP black hole in the lineup. This has also caused other teams to put in lefties ASAP to take Raley and Canzone out of the equation for later innings. The smaller and more interesting conversation is WHY Rob Refsnyder is struggling so much this season. The process in acquiring Refsnyder was pretty sound, as can be seen in the second graphic.
