#WATCH | West Bengal | Kolkata Municipal Corporation demolishes an illegal structure in the state capital's Tiljala area, in which a leather factory was being operated. After a fire broke out in the structure yesterday, resulting in the death of two people, an inspection by a joint committee found that the strcuture was illegal, without an approved building plan, basic fire safety system, and proper electricity system. Kolkata police and central security forces were deployed in the area.

Heavy police deployment and RAF personnel rushed to the area after violence broke out. The BJP alleges the attack targeted Minority Cell leader Manoj Khan and accuses the TMC of orchestrating the violence. Several people were reportedly injured. The bigger question: Is Bengal once again witnessing political retribution against those who dared to exercise electoral choice differently?

On a request from state government authorities, an IAF Mi 17 V5 of Central Air Command (CAC) was deployed to rescue two stranded children, who were stuck on top of a water tank in Sidharth Nagar in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The children were stranded in the night as the ladder of the water tank was damaged. The rescue mission, yet again, displays the IAF's professionalism and commitment to save lives with a swift response in times of need. 🇮🇳 #CAC #IAF

A tribal man was seen carrying his deceased sister's skeleton to the bank to withdraw money from her account, claiming to be her heir, in Odisha's Keonjhar district, on April 27. On the incident, Uma Shankar Dalai, Sub Collector, Keonjhar, said, "The tribal man was not aware of the procedural aspects. Out of frustration, he did this. Prima facie, it appears that since this man is not a class-I legal heir of his sister, the concerned bank rightly asked him for documents which he could not produce. Today, he will apply for the necessary documents. We are facilitating early processing of Red Cross Assistance of Rs 20,000, the death certificate and the legal heir certificate and release of the deposited money to the legal heirs in consultation with the bank." IPL looks more like a video game now, with boundaries in every ball and crowd cheering audio in the background. Also, almost all the encounters look like highlight of their last encounter. Too mechanical & choreographed. Just like reality TV shows with overnight stars & talent.
