I don’t care. I don’t care. I don’t care. I don’t want to read your AI scraped slop. You can argue with me until the cows come home about its benefits and how it’s ’the future of writing’. I don’t care. Give me Bronte, Stoker, Tolkien, Shelley, Plath, and Wilde. Give me the thousands and thousands of fantastic contemporary authors there are out there today, writing across all fiction genres and non fiction. Give me flawed, but brilliant, passionate prose and poetry not your bland and soulless drivel. I don’t care.

@Tom_Rowsell And yet paganism is at best seen as a passing fancy and at worse mocked and derided. It should be respected just as much as any other religion.

Paganism is the fourth largest religion in Scotland. There are more Pagans than Jews, Sikhs or Buddhists.

Any royalist of historian knows what this means? What happens when William ascends the throne?!
Chris Wilson@hotscotty21

@NaomiSky_15 YOu are missing one point. WHen he sits on the throne, he restores the Scottish House of Stuart to the throne.

@SandyofCthulhu I enjoyed the film, but yeah it is the weakest part of the movie when it can't seemed to choose if Dracula is a tragic victim of horrific circumstance or a unredeemable monster. Nosferatu got it right in that he is nothing but a monster and it embraces that fact

One of my favorite things about Dracula was that he was always ALWAYS portrayed as unredeemably evil. The Frankenstein monster? Not his fault. The Wolfman? Didn't choose his curse. The Gillman? He didn't ask the humans to come annoy him. But Dracula was just plain bad. This is why I hated Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula so much. They tried to whitewash Dracula to an extent and can we not have ONE SINGLE MONSTER that is just plain evil? It's so refreshing.

The Catholic Church are unironically the good guys of Castlevania and Dracula is just evil, with God being an objective force for good. The Church being the real bad guys and Dracula being misunderstood is a fabrication of the cartoon show because Adi Shankar hates Christianity.

I’ll say it again: it doesn’t matter if your book is excellent and entirely human-written. You’ll still be outpaced by those who may be less polished but know how to market themselves well. What matters is that readers know you exist. Take the Shy Girl novel as an example. Sadly, at this point, many readers don’t seem to care whether a story is AI-written or AI-assisted, as long as it’s engaging and entertaining. 🥲

The sad truth about products and marketing is this: The best product doesn’t always win. A mediocre product with great marketing can sell, while a great product with poor marketing often goes unnoticed. Marketing—packaging, pricing, and how you present the product—can matter just as much as the product itself. The same is true with books. #WritingCommunity

IMO, it’s not just about marketing. Fifty Shades arrived at exactly the right time, when conversations about BDSM were gaining traction, even if mostly in closed-door settings, and the book offered a glimpse into that world. It tapped into a specific market where sex sells, and more importantly, where readers were already curious and willing to spend money on that kind of content.

@AshySlasheeDB this scene was crazy in showcasing how good of an actor Arnold Vosloo is. He literally made me for a moment feel actual sympathy for a dangerous, homicidal monster who is the literal manifestation of a walking plague.

@Rocks__Z5 @BasedRPG would definitely make it more interesting. Ironically this quest was originally going to be even darker with the implication that Balgruf was going to be assassinated by his children, or at least attempted to be.

@Wolfofsteele @BasedRPG the whispering door quest could've been a bit more darker if we got any conclusion to anything Balgruf was accused of by Mephala, what happened to the wife? Does he really secretly agree with Ulfric but is loyal to the empire cause of the gold they pay him? Etc etc
