doctor - gets themselves into complicated K-1 investments that lose money. also, surprisingly bad with money. dentist - buys into some get rich quick scheme and/or wants to deduct their hunting in africa expenses 2/5

IM JOKING, but this is the very incorrect stereotypes of what these tax pros think these clients are like. dont come for me engineer - wants to know where every dollar input ends up as an output in their tax return and gets uncomfortable with rounding differences 1/5

@mountainwesttax We are getting one very close to us and the town is going nuts. One council member who was against it still received death threats about it happening and ended up quitting. It was too dangerous to keep that job in this day and age and I don't blame her one bit.

@cliffcornell_ I paid cash for master’s in accounting to be able to sit for the CPA exams when I was in my 20s and now most states have changed the rules so you don’t need a graduate degree to take the exams

Client sent email showing 8 issues that ChatGPT had with the partnership return we sent him. Every single one was incorrectly ID'd by Ai. E.g. they said the EIN was wrong on the K1 because it wanted to match the recipient EIN to the sender EIN. Ai for the win!

I served in the USN 1989 - 1995 on The USS Pintado, SSN 672. Reading all of these stories on the supply problems the USN is having in the Middle East right now bothers me. I understand it is entirely due to the fact that our warships cannot enter ports in the Middle East due to Iranian drones... And never doubt this Diego Garcia is an awful place to be stationed...
