@DietBeginsMon To be fair, it really sucks that TC made in all-in move on Gobert and then a new CBA was agreed upon that immediately made that roster impossible to keep.

@holl6948 @dionysisvis @wheatonbrando Naming two injury prone players. Gobert holds more value on offense and on defense than vando. Kessler is still up in the air. He cant stay on floor and he’s not as good as a perimeter defender as gobert.

The Gobert trade remains a failure, same as it always was.
Franchises get 2-3 players EVER like Ant. The only goal once you get one is to win a title.
At no point ever for one second were the Wolves serious title contenders with Rudy, and the investment set the team back years.

I really hate how when a team loses we relitigate everything. The Wolves gave up a bunch of picks for Rudy and he had a bad Game 6 against a better team. They traded KAT because of the CBA for Randle and he had a bad series. They made two WCFs and got to the second round, for a team that has been a historical joke since KG in 2004, TWENTY years ago. They built a good team, they couldn't get it to put it together. It doesn't mean it wasn't worth it.

@WolvesShowYo @WillRagatz I do agree he could probably shoot more and yea I doubt they trade for Rudy if the knew second apron was coming down the line but I woulda kept Kat over Rudy the problem was they gave up too much for him and his return would have been lackluster to say the least

As brutal as Randle was in these playoffs, we don’t need to act like the KAT trade was a mistake.
Beyond being financially necessary, it got the Wolves DiVincenzo and Beringer in addition to Randle, whose deal they should be able to move this summer.
I’m happy for KAT’s success in NY, but the East and West are not comparable. Wolves would’ve also crushed ATL and PHI this year, and having KAT wouldn’t have changed how either of their last two seasons ended. Let’s not forget how bad he was in that Dallas series.
