As brutal as Randle was in these playoffs, we don’t need to act like the KAT trade was a mistake. Beyond being financially necessary, it got the Wolves DiVincenzo and Beringer in addition to Randle, whose deal they should be able to move this summer. I’m happy for KAT’s success in NY, but the East and West are not comparable. Wolves would’ve also crushed ATL and PHI this year, and having KAT wouldn’t have changed how either of their last two seasons ended. Let’s not forget how bad he was in that Dallas series.

Sounds like they were pretty close to moving him and it just didn't pan out. Whats interesting is going into the Allstar break Finch sounded like Randle had already move on in his mind. Add to that the Wolves pivoted their offense from how they started and it all makes sense.
